good idea..thanks. I always have issue with my toyota Fortuner fob when I found your post. I ended up picking up your idea but modified it a bit by putting plastic ring around the micro switch pcb slightly taller than switch making it hard unless you press in the middle. I get some free silicon sealant plastic nozzle and cut diameter closest to your pcb fob switch. goodluck.
liked your idea! I have a 2015 RAM 1500.....Took a plastic drywall anchor and cut a ring just like you described - just a hair taller - to make kind of a standoff to protect the micro switch. Now the panic button still works but you have to mash it to get it to go off. All reversible too. Note- I'm 67, never used the panic button unless I was testing it. Pappy

Ik u were asking 4 months ago... But no, there's a silicone layer so no dust!
(Dust is very easy to clean out anyways if you ever need to)
