    Thanks for the video, I'm looking at getting a Nomax. What I'd like to know is if the tank bag is not being used do the front clips fall down and get in the way of the steering. Or do you remove the front clips if you're not using the tank bag.

    • @theboomerangbiker1966
      @theboomerangbiker1966  2 года назад +1

      I've never had an issue with the front clips and I quite often ride without the bag. Stay tuned if you haven't made your mind up yet, as I'm waiting on my order for the new Lone Rider Tank Bag, it's coming in August - review to follow...

    Looks good. Seems a bit more out of the way on the GS. Kinda gets on the way while standing on the Africa Twin.

    • @theboomerangbiker1966
      @theboomerangbiker1966  3 года назад +1

      Yeah I heard that same issue before. I tightened the front straps as far as I could to get it to sit flat on top of the fuel cap. It'll be interesting to see how it works out on the next adventure ;)

    Great Video, Nick. Have you used the water bladder in the bag? The Mosko Moto bag was a perfect fit on my Pan America, but I just never seemed to get a good fit on the GSA.

    • @theboomerangbiker1966
      @theboomerangbiker1966  2 года назад +1

      Hi mate, thanks for the great feedback. I haven't used the bladder in the Mosko yet because I have one built into the back of my RST Adventure-X jacket. The bag sits great on my GSA but I've got it tight up to the handlebars. I've also installed a cutting board with holds my gopro, insta360 and drone and I charge the batteries from the front DIN socket. Hope that helps...

    Awesome work Nick! I love my Nomax, I would say it felt a bit laborious to remove and reach to reattach the clips when refueling, but the utility it provides and boxes it checks having the water bladder built in and the back pack capability is unmatched. If you ever find yourself stateside, or if I can make an Aussie trip happen, I'd love to collaborate on a video sometime.

      G'Day Thomas, thanks for the great feedback. A collaboration sounds fantastic, I did the Route 1 Big Sur a few years ago with the family but unfortunately we were in a Yukon as three's a crowd on a bike! Drop me a line if you're ever planning to head Down Under... Cheers, Nick Check out this video/route, similar to the Big Sur... ruclips.net/video/mdY1lbJ4aCk/видео.html

      After having used the bag for a while have you noticed any wear on the paint or plastics where the bag, straps or buckles make contact?

    • @theboomerangbiker1966
      @theboomerangbiker1966  3 года назад

      @@davemingarelli4041 I haven't really noticed anything so far but I haven't been very far because of the Victoria Australia lockdown. I guess you could add some clear Gorilla tape under the main contact spots if you're concerned but I'm not too bothered, I bought the bike for adventures so if it gets the odd scratch or dent I don't really care.

      @@theboomerangbiker1966 I’m with you not too worried about the nicks and scratches I put on riding either just hate to add any if can be avoided. I think Giant Loop markets some vinyl tape for just such a scenario. I really like the Mosko bag for its utility on and off the bike. Tank bags are usually awkward and you end up needing a bag or pack anyway. Thanks for the review appreciate seeing it mounted on a GSA. Here’s hoping this lockdown silliness comes to an end soon and you can get out and ride. Cheers.

      @@davemingarelli4041 thanks buddy, really appreciate the feedback and support. My passion is making adventure videos rather than reviews, but these are keeping me sane at the moment. Can't wait to get back out on the trails. I think the Mosko Nomax is the best adventure style tank bag on the market at the moment, but I'm looking forward to seeing the new one from Lone Rider. What do you guys think...?

  • @thuringervonsausage5232
    @thuringervonsausage5232 Год назад +1

    WHY? Givi makes an excellent Tank Bag & other mfg's are starting to copy the attach. it goes on securely or off in seconds, no straps scratching your equipment.

    • @theboomerangbiker1966
      @theboomerangbiker1966  Год назад

      The Givi I had was too small and the attachment ring used to jam up with dust and dirt from the trails - it was fine on the road but useless on the trails. Plus, the GSA is an adventure bike, I don't care about scratches.
      I've replaced the Mosko Nomax with a much better Lone Rider Ranger bag, which is waterproof without using an additional cover...

      Great video! I’m currently installing them on a 1200 GSA. I was thinking about sliding it back to the tank lid would also be available. Did you try this or think it would be an issue? The bag would be mounted on the downward sloped part of the tank
