    Pat, are you still liking the Mosko bags? Any nit pics or annoyances? I’m looking to splurge maybe this winter. And even after researching the competition I’m drawn to the Mosko bags. One question, the adaptor that mounts to the OEM pannier frame would stop me from making a quick change back over to my aluminum panniers should I be in the mood to do so. Have you ever wanted to switch back, if even for a short time? Is it a big deal to remove that plate that bolts to the bike?

    • @PatsAdventuresTravels
      @PatsAdventuresTravels  3 года назад +1

      As for switching out between hard and soft bags. No matter which side it is bolted to the bike. So it wouldn't be a fast switch. I sold my hard bags so no going back. I am still learning to use them. I have no regrets switching. They do not hold as much as the hard bags and I knew that going in. The best part is I can take the bag off and just carry it into the hotel or camp site with no need to unpack.

    Nice bags. Have you checked out Bumot Xtremada soft panniers for OEM GSA racks? Awesome bags, tough, lockable, easy attach/detach system, and with more capacity than Moskos... (equal to BMW alu cases). I'd say they are slightly lighter than Moskos too 🤔

      I had tossed it around for a long time between the that and the Lonerider bags, but decided I wanted to try the Moskos. I like them. They are stiff to lock and unlock because I believe it just clamps down on the cable. It can help prevent theft but won't stop someone determined to get into the bags. A simple razor knife can get you into the bags. I used them while traveling, but for over night I take the bags off the bike and they go inside with me.

      I am a newbie too. I have yet to get to use these bags since it is full on winter here in Ohio. For sheer convenience hard bags are better in my opinion and a little more secure from theft. For me it was mostly about safety. Since I have dropped the bike a couple times I am less likely to get a leg injury from the soft bags over the hard bags was the deciding factor.

      I would like to add to this:
      I wanted the Mosko Moto Redline Jersey which I ordered in a XXL from the US store (and it was huge) and had to return it. The EU store (Netherlands) had it in an XL, in stock, so I ordered it from there on the 9th and had it on my doorstep on the 13th.
      That was faster shipping than what I get from their factory in Oregon. Plus the jersey from the US store cost me $49 USD plus $10 shipping.
      The jersey from the Netherlands store cost me €43. No taxes. No shipping charges. That saved me about $16 USD. So don’t believe all the hype you hear about import fees. There were none.
