Looks like an interesting unit, but not having more inputs, especially a dedicated XLR mic input (preferably with phantom power & HPF) seems like a major oversight for a product at this price point.

@@nateo7045 There is an easy work-around if you want to connect a microphone. I use a send on my mixer to send multiple instruments to the Aeros, then return the output of the Aeros to a channel on my mixer routed to the main output, and also to another send for monitors and video feed. Since the Aeros is stereo capable, you could easily send instruments to the Aeros through your mixer sends to one channel, and vocals through another send from your mixer to the other channel on the Aeros.

I agree with you about the few inputs, and I also use a send from my mixer for multiple guitars, bass and synths to be input to the Aeros. I also use two MIDI Maestros connected in series to eliminate needing to change pages so often during live performance. Getting on board with the BeatBuddy, Aeros Looper and MIDI Maestro(s) has helped make a HUGE improvement in my solo act!

I had one for quite a while. Of all the loopers, it gets a lot right. I ended up selling it as I found that looping with the iPad with Group the Loop was a lot better and easier to use, and more flexible. Still - of the hardware loopers, it’s at the top of the pack.
Forgot to add - for foot control I use the air turn 6

I agree with the complimentary reviews I read on this video presentation. Very professional and "to the point." Thank you. This posting is 2 years old, so it may have gone cold for responses but if I may ask: I have an Aeros looper sitting in a box on a shelf waiting to be installed. I haven't installed it yet because I'm considering using Ableton Live as my looper. You mentioned Ableton a couple of times in this video. It would be instructive to learn why you don't use Ableton's looper capability. Regardless, thank you for this contribution and for the opportunity to subscribe!

I was a little hesitant to add a looper into my signal chain for fear that it would, "do my head in" as I had never used one before. But, after a little research on the Aeros I was happy to commit to the idea and I have had no regrets. I run one in conjunction with a Beat Buddy as a composing rig. Great, innovative gear, sonically fantastic and built to last.

The extra audio inputs are soo needed. Im just thinking of a scenario when you're singing and playing guitar and you just want to loop the guitar chords whilst singing so you can do a solo when the vocals finish. But since this records everything coming out of a mixer you'd be picking up and looping the vocals as well :(

Oddly enough my synth / electronic music journey started out with looping guitar using various pedals I tried. I ended up settling on the boss rc505 which is still part of my hardware setup that quickly grew around it. There are heaps of issues with the 505 and I hope the recently released mk 2 fixes most of them. The best part is it’s form factor which was designed to be used on a table with hands rather than foot switches Although you can connect an external one also. It also has plenty of buttons and sliders to easily access and tweak stuff on the fly making it a real performance tool. I just couldn’t deal with the tapping and double tapping , long hold, short hold setup of some of the other loopers I tried so unfortunately the Aeros isn’t the one for me. It does look really fun though. Live looping is so inspiring. Have fun

    Thanks for the introduction.
For $700, I have to wonder why the aux send level is so low. Seems like something that should've been taken care of in preproduction. On the other hand it's the kind of thing you just have to deal with on a budget item, something worth a fraction of this price.
It may very well be the best looper in the world, but that one quiet, unusable aux send makes me wonder about the whole thing, if that makes any sense.

Good Description and Presentation..Subscribed..I went from a Gibson Echoplex to a Boss Rc-50 to a RC-300.Still have the 300.I have all 3 Aeros, Beatbuddy, and the -Midi Maestro- works well with both units, and has usable functions I like. It's worth the investment if you're only using the BB or Aeros.. MIDI SYNC doesn't drift-that I've heard so far..RC-300 does..I'm looking forward to being able to download WAV.files to the Aeros. I have a Lot of those from the RC-50 and 300..I was using a Alesis SR-16 for a 2nd drum machine Midi-ed with the RC-300.The SR-16 does 2 Fills per patch using a footswitch.Doing the same thing with the BB and Aeros..Have a Grateful Dead-Allman Bros. double drummer feel going on.Gives whatever you're looping a lot more color.Using 2 footswitches for the Beatbuddy-So I never even step on that.

Use an aux send from your mixer to send any signals that you want to the Aeros, just make sure that you don’t also have those same signals routed to your main mix. Instead, have those signals go through the Aeros ( they will go through the Aeros whether you are looping them or not) and then return the output of the Aeros to another channel on your mixer, which is then routed to your main mix output

My issue is no one ever says how long you can play an individual part say three minutes or up to 40 minutes for one track so like you could play a whole song and just save it in your machine and then play it back like play your whole set in your nice studio, set up at home play it back, live with an alternate guitar, part and fills basically like band in a box, but something you did live with a spontaneous feel. Sometimes building a rhythm part that just plays in the loop and you play Freeform for maybe five minutes and then come back and build another part and solo on that.

I've been contemplating one of these. There's just so much gear that I want, and I already have stuff that I can use to loop with, so it's not really at the top of my list. If I ever end up with the extra money, I'll more than likely get one for the convenience. I like the idea on using one to create loops with, and then tweak and experiment with the loops by running it through pedals. It would be cool if you could run a track out into a pedal, and then back in, and so on, until you just end up with something completely new.

I had one of the first Aeros loopers and the Maestro together with the Beat Buddy. I have always kept my two BB's but sadly parted with my Aeros. Your instruments/mics into a mixer and the mixer into the looper. Then you record/overdub single instruments in single tracks. Then you can mix/mute them directly in the aeros in real time. Remember that, even if it's deep, it's still a looper: it's meant for people who play one thing at a time in live performances , not to do what a daw does.

Does it have loop decay? I couldn’t find anything of that type in the manual.

See I’m not so familiar with pedals at all. I don’t even have a sound fx module or pedal. Microcosm, Blooper, H9max comes up again in the synth community

A looper pedal for looping , seems so obvious. I always found other loopers with effects and boring drum machines just too much menu diving.

    Hi great video.
    I got one question.
If am going to use this with several different instruments in live presentations wich type of amplifier or speaker can I use? Could I use a single one or several ones for the different type of instruments?⁸
