10$ Sunroof Delete [E36 Project Ep 10]

Looking to delete your sunroof on your E36? Need more headroom, counting lbs or going full race? In this video, I summarize how to delete your sunroof using the existing panel for next to nothing. Carbon fiber and fiberglass panels cost from $150-$350, instead of do it yourself and retain a stock look from the outside of the car.
Steps:
1- Remove Sunroof Card
2- Take sunroof panel out of sunroof card
3- Mock-up panel using shims
4- Make support tabs
5- Prep metal then weld
6- Tap the gap on the inside of the car
7- Seal the panel using your choice of sealant

What kind of glue is that? Mine is disconnected, because the track broke. I just want to glue it.

by sunroof card so u mean the piece inside that slides to cover the sunroof?

Yes, its was a bit of an experiment, so I didn't have video but yes if you remove the sunroof card you can gut it and get just the blank to weld in and then seal.

I did not. It's thick sheet metal, though.

I used the old sunroof.

@@mattroadfeldt9012 No I used the stock sunroof. I skinned the metal from the bmw sunroof.
