I did this today. Option was to spend money to unblock the rear sunroof drain. As I don't open the sunroof it would have been a waste of money. Fortunately my car (a 2006 Honda Accord) is black, and the black silicone windscreen sealant hardly shows unless you look closely. No more puddles in the back of my car. I'm rapt.
All you have to do to clean the drain tubes is shoot compressed air down the line…
What do you have in the spot with the sunroof it looks carbon fiber
Really should have used Polyurethane Much stronger, will last forever!! Silicone is much weaker and will eventually give up!
How would / do you remove the silicone if still leaking and need to reopen sunroof??
Just use a razor blade!

I'd of used a body seam sealer, not an engine oil sealant

Looks like it's a race/drift car. I doubt his gf gives a fuck if he opens the sunroof or not going 220km/h sideways 30cm from a concrete wall.
Some people dont care for a sunroof like me my car has one and i wish it didn't

Update: Happy to say I silicone'd my sunroof shut. Problem solved!👍

so shitty the lid didn't fit flush
All you had to do was clean out the drain tubes
You didn't see that huge crack around the roof those drains won't do shit lol
I have same problem but cleaning drain tubes don’t help when it’s really messed up
Cleaning the drain tubes hasn’t stopped the leak on my 2003 pick up
I’m cleaning tubes every summer 😫
I thought water was suppossed to go past the sunroof into the actual sunroof drains....but you can do whatever you want to damage your own car
