I can’t believe it could sound so awesome… as a guitar player, I could only know it was a guitar because I know the way the patterns play out, but otherwise it is indistinguishable from having an organ (a room full) player there! Thanks for the great demo!
The Mel9 is awesome too, it has great Mellotron paddings..
Great demo of the pedal. Thank you John.
Awesome! Could hardly believe what I was hearing!
I am a guitar player, and a really poor keyboard player. I have a C9, and it's very cool! For a singer / songwriter, it is an awesome tool for fleshing out songs. Great video as usual!
I always dug the intro to No Quarter by John Paul Jones. This pedal should do it very well.
Good job on the song, John! Cool pedal!
Thanks again Mate! I’m thinking I may give it a shot.
Brilliant pedal, really made me smile
Wow. You know how to use the guitar to make great organ sounds. That piece of music was awesome. Great bit of kit. Hope you are well. 👍👍😁
Along with guitar I play Pedal Steel and was considering getting a similar pedal for the Steel, I didn't imagine it would come over so well on upright six string. Great video.
What a great pedal! and bloody useful too!!! You'll be at Blackpool Tower next!
Looking on your desk there is some great technology there, could you please explain what that strange looking object is that you have used to prop the pedal up?
Is it some sort of memory device maybe????
They burn at 451 Fahrenheit I’m told
@@michaeltaylors2456 😂
hi John if you use Reaper you can use the guitar to play midi notes needed to play any keyboard/organ using another plug-in as the virtual instrument.you can select relative key only and quantise on input. obviously a bit of messing about needed for final mixing, but it saves a vast amount of time using the guitar as a trigger :)
What a remarkable-sounding pedal and easier to carry to a gig than a B3 😂
Been debating for months on getting either this or the B9. Great video, Mr. Robson!
Great sounding pedal :)
I bet once you dial that pedal in a little more, you'll get Lazy on that Highway Star. Sounds great and another fine demo of what it can do. Geez, now I want one. GAS is a horrible disease.
That's pretty cool....
Anyone know if you can get the Walter Wanderley stutter out of that pedal?
I must invest in one of these now I've heard it, thought about one several times but as I hadn't heard it I was a bit unsure but now, hmmm, how long 'til my birthday?
That's sounds excellent mate I will have to save up wsy easier than midi bollox lol
The 'Blimp' setting on the pedal is another of EHX's copyright claim avoiding play on words similar to Lord Purple and Press Tone.....so Blimp is a reference to a more famous airship - the (Led) Zeppelin 😆
Although off the top of my head I can't recall any of John Paul Jones organ sounds other than Stairway
Blimp? Zeppelin? Great names.
lol, if i didn't already have one, i'd have to get one,it's a brilliant pedal as is the bass9,yes i've got that one aswell :)
Really good, but the Farfisa wasn’t quite trebly enough. Love it.
Hey your vidoes look more professional than when I used to watch you. Sounds like you are using a bit of sound dampening too
I'd like to hear you play the intro to "Highway Star" with it, and then the guitar bit too...hopefully you'll dodge the copyright claim. I prefer the EHX Big Muff tho 😁
Electro Harmonics make some great inexpensive pedals and Ive seen the C9 many times but never realised that it sounded this convincing.
i goona say the blimp is zeppilin
Blimp =Zeppelin John, 😉
I think "blimp" probably refers to Led Zeppelin
Great thought
So basically this pedal makes the guitar sound like an organ ?
Yep. That's what it means, Zep sounds.
@@benallmark9671 oh yes
No 9 sounds like a vox continental.Germanium Transistors at there best.
John,
If the late great Sir Keith Emerson was still alive I think. He would of approved of this pedal 😎👍
Um sort of, it won’t let you play Hoedown: live at Anaheim tempo, or at album tempo for that matter. It simply can’t keep up, and mushes out. This was a B9 pedal that I tried. But I’m going to go out on a limb and say it has the same capabilities, and limitations as the C9
I love them too. Just don’t try to shred, play silly fast with them. The tracking can’t keep up.
Blimp zeppelin stairway
