    Great video! That's really good progress, and she is right there isn't alot of people doing a full progression or day to day progression on flares, so I commend the video as well as her progress. Only tip I would give is to try in a few layers of socks on and just glide through. Truly a fake it til you make it move. Having more strength is a possibility, but I think building on form will build on the muscles needed to complete the move! Excited to see more!

    Very good job. I used to breakdance for 6yrs hardcore, and my rule is you dont really have the move down unless you can do 3, because anyone can force the second turn and just fall. You gota learn the proper momentum/form and reset, going into the move again from the same move, for that 3rd one.

  • @nogomo87
    @nogomo87 2 года назад +6

    Ese movimiento es duro, le ayuda bastante la elasticidad, pero también requiere precisión en la secuencia y resistencia.

  • @poloboy

    "it wasn't hard, it wasn't easy, but it was the way it was supposed to be"
    That's a very good way to put it, cause "hard" or "easy" has its fair share of subjectivity, and the way you put it removes that perception from the equation, which helps against falling for our own self-imposed limitations. Madd respect

    From what I see, the turn works always and when you do the following: maintain a good speed to have a better centripetal acceleration and avoid falling; at the moment of changing hands, move all the weight to that hand so as not to unbalance; conserve angular momentum, that is, move the legs at speed and keep them always stretched

    Watching that reminded me of many years i tried to lean the windmill and while I picked up numerous other moves, the windmill seemed out of reach.. Then I ran into a an old friend who taught me a technique that helped me put it all together... The missing link if you will (lunching upward off my upperback/shoulders while in rotation on the ground)... Point is, you can watch a move hundreds of times but taking tips from those who have mastered the technique will go a long way.. You'll get it, and when you do, you can progress into AirFlares

  • @mohamedalikhlifi9772

    i like when she did flares without spreading her legs, sometimes i feel when you too much agility and small strength can be a handicap but if she focus on a perfect posture and she view a good flare in slow motion from a good angle, she will fix her posture and and her motion.

    4:00 this was the best piece of advice she got. Phenomenal progress. During the results portion, look at your left hand. Its too far away from your body making it impossible to press your body/hips up to the air. It needs to be little closer to your hips. That will allow you to role your weight over it easier and get that pressing motion which will in turn lift your hips and keep your legs in the air. When you see really smooth flares, their hands are right by their pockets. Great job!!!

    Took me a solid 6 months to learn flares, 20 years ago when I was 15. I can still pretty much do everything, just got to really stretch first

    Took me about 3 months to get continuous flares back in the late 90s. I remember being stuck where she was for the first 2 months. I didnt have mentors so I used bboy vids. Once I learned to kick my left leg up hard (I did counter-clockwise), hold it and pick up my butt while still on my right hand, then slam down my left hand, it became easy to do another round. The good ole days.
    Boss teacher right here in this vid. Really shows that having a mentor can speed up the progress of anything.
