      Thanks! Just picked up some cheap clamp lights a couple weeks back and a new camera at the beginning of the year. I'm surprised people actually watched my first videos that I shot with my camera, the difference is striking. You're doing good work over on your end Chris. Keep it up!

    On the tab you have "2" written for part of it. Is this meant to be 4 (i.e. 2 in relation to the capo) or is it meant to be 0? Because the capo is on 2

    i'd tried play guitar several years ago, but i'm stop learning because i'm stuck and i live far away from the things that could give me enough information about how to play guitar properly (i mean internet) cause i live in the village where there is no internet connection at all. But now, this video kinda inspired my to learn playing guitar again and i like this song too. Hopefully you got video for beginner like me who want to learn playing guitar from scratch a.k.a newbie and i'm sorry cuz my english sucks.

    Great Tutorial, but I am a bit confused as to why the Capo, as the song is clearly in D. I agree with Gavin. The lesson as great but no Capo needed if you are playing along with the song

    What I love about Shawn is that he understands you don't have to be playing the exact same thing as the original artist to play a song, the Definition of Music is Interpretation AKA Feel the Music don't Read the Music

  • @shkaplan55

    You don't have to capo anything. Just tune to open E and then tune the 3rd string up an extra half step or just play the 3rd string notes a fret higher.

    I'm getting confused in Make EBGDAE to DADGAD please clear my doubts

    • @winstonmvn
      @winstonmvn 6 лет назад

      What I do is put my capo on the 2nd fret, then tune the E - - - B E (EADGBE) strings to how it sounds without the capo, you have to tune the E B and E (Low E, B and high E) a whole step down which means two frets. So do that and voila you're in DADGAD tuning :)

    La afinación es medio tono abajo?

    • @daurdaurik5
      @daurdaurik5 9 лет назад +1

      Descendeur :D No, DADGAD esta es la afinacion. En la afinación estándar (Mi), la cuarta cuerda la afina en Re, y la segunda en La, todas las demás las dejas igual.

    • @derekbravo7811
      @derekbravo7811 8 лет назад

      +Alejandro Cofré cuando te refieres a que la cuarta cuerda cuerda la afinemos en re te refieres a que debe tener el sonido de la cuerda re?

    I am not able to tune my guitar in DADGAD . I tried using a tuner but Still I failed. :'(

    • @LillaMartin
      @LillaMartin 9 лет назад

      Very very simple. EADGBE is going to be DADGAD. Start with your high e string tune it down. Until ur tuner says its on D. Then go and tune ur B string down to A and then ur low E string down to D. And ur good to go!

    • @thegreatsupremeleader4487
      @thegreatsupremeleader4487 9 лет назад

      There's an app called guitartuna I tune the e string to -20 or -19 and do the same thing to the b string and the e string I don't know if it works well but it's good enough I think

    this song is on capo 0 and the whole tab should be written a whole note down, according to the studio version

    • @Stoney037
      @Stoney037 10 лет назад

      If you have seen him play it he plays it with a capo on the second fret. Go watch his video and you will see. I would rather go off of that then what it may say off a website. Btw I hope this didn't come off mean I was not trying to sound that way.

    • @Weezelsius
      @Weezelsius 10 лет назад

      Stoney037 but if you listen carefully to the CD studio version, you will hear, that it is on the key of D (capo 0). But it is always tricky with ed sheeran since he plays some of his songs in different tune
