I can relate
His voice, the fact he only uses acoustics, his look, the lyrics, the fact how the video is just him simply singing on stage alone... He is an amazing artist. That what he has, is talent, he doesn't need to make his voice "sound better" or he doesn't need help writing his music or making the tunes, he does it all on his own. He sings live exactly how he sound in music videos, he writes music for other artists. He is perfection at his job. I love it!
He doesn't only use acoustic. He only uses acoustic in concert when he uses his loop pedal.

One of the saddest songs he's written. You can feel the pain in his voice. Also, the music video itself is so sad: empty stage, no one around, the echo in his voice, the lights.. so sad yet so beautiful. He's a powerful lyricist and a great artist.

The difference between Ed and other artists who sing about love and heartbreak is that Ed doesn't and never has done it to be successful. He does it to let out his feelings and express himself. If you think about it the only song on + that was actually in the charts was the A team because that was his debut single, everything else wasn't in the top 40 for long if at all, but the thing is that his gigs were selling out without fail. He is so real when he sings and you hear it in his tone, the moment when you can relate to the lyrics is just beautiful for me, like this song

In sing he is saying how record companies and people can control their singer/somgwriters like they are puppets, and they get all caught up with having these beautiful girls all over them. And he is saying he isn't going to be one of those people. But I do like him better when it's just him and a guitar I do like sing because it shows his wide range of singing, and performing.

We can consider Ed Sheeran a legend. He can basically pick any song and accompany it with his guitar.
Some people seriously need reminding that this is only his second album. You can't criticise his newer songs for not sounding like his older songs. I mean it's not like he's released 3 similar albums and then released 'x'

And yes, "One" "Thinking Out Loud" and "Don't" all sounds different from his original versions. The original ones are much better and do sound like him and his other songs and even his album "Plus." This new album, so far, is different because they are adding so much too it sound wise. Taking away from it's purity and simplicity and above all that beautiful perfect unique sound that is Ed Sheeran.
Ed Sheeran is a musical genius, a lyrical god, a song wizard. This song capture so many emotions. I've still got goosebumps. And I'm still crying.

I first encountered this song around 2015 or 2016, though I can't recall the exact year. It quickly became one of my cherished secret favorites-a song I adore deeply. Perhaps selfishly, I've hoped it would remain underrated. I worry that widespread exposure on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, or RUclips Shorts might somehow diminish its beauty.
