@@nikhilstephen not really he’s always been more of a “this fight will decide my destiny” super corny kinda guy, the thing now however is he is older and more laid back having mastered his style and now just wants to have good fights with other fighters. It’s not him fighting the hashogeki or raging demon whatever, you can even hear it in how he talks in the current build, “this will be a good fight” and stuff like he is more looking forward to fights as opposed to being on some spiritual journey.
I used to think that, but it's just gameplay. It would be too hard to animate a move a certain character would do for just a super. Plus, fighters can make dumb, confused choices when they're getting their butt whooped, so it's not that weird.
@@anthonychase6906 hahahahaha its like the old Rival Schools supers hahahahaha: ' and now you are defeated by me taking too many photos with you ' -----KO 'NOOOOOOOOOOO!" or "imma beat you by making you do HARDCORE BALLET DANCING!!!!"
The fact that Ryu have achieved so much strength and control since SFV (story) and now he's just a guy who wants some good fights (like Akuma) made me kinda proud of him, the guy just wanna chill and keep training, literally a Chad, and that is reflected on his outfit, appearance and theme on this game, Ryu have finally find the answer in the heart of battle.
That is actually a mechanic that I want to see in a fighting game, like clash from injustice but it's a random chance to win or hell, even to do a crit
In all seriousness though, that'd be a hell of a neat mechanic, just do a level three as your opponent is performing it on you (as in, you are still IN THE LEVEL 3) and if you time it correctly, you change the animation to the tail end of your Level 3 (doing the full damage as you completely caught your opponent out) and with the risk of losing all that meter and more health if you time it wrong (like you get ready to do it but proceed to get knocked out of the animation and the rest of the level 3 plays out) would make it a High Risk-High Reward tech.
Sadly bad mechanic because it's a learnable timing, as in go into practice mode and a few hours later you can do it consistently which means no one doing supers if you are full on ex, not even that you can do an ex because if you do the other side can now super you uncontested so you gotta hold onto that ex. But anyhow I know you didn't put much thought I am not saying anything to you just I like taking things to their logical conclusion and see how much they effect everything.
@@sarperdogan6454 Yeah, the only way it could balance out is that normally both fighters wouldn't have that meter as they might use it here or there. But yeah this is why I do not make games.
This kind of thing has been hell in any game it was introduced. Shifts gameplay towards casual players, by balancing it in favour of who's losing. If you have a super that works like this, you're just never gonna use it, risking you're being *punished* on hit.
jamie's super is so lame. just takes control away from you and makes your character do an action that isn't in your control. a lot of these supers look shitty.
Man ryu is a savage in this game is it just me or they just desided to make him way cooler he is like kazuya he gets cooler wen he gets older
Just seems like we're finally getting away from goody goody Ryu and now hes just a chill guy who wants to throw haymakers.
@@michaelgalloway1359 I’m crying
He was like this from before tho.

Same thing with Mitsurugi on the SoulCalibur series the older he gets the cooler he looks !
This most likely happen in the story 😂
0:05 that transition is too perfect lol
Thanks dude:)
I'll show you my secret technique
Ryu: That's cute
I never was a fan of moves that make the opponent do things that would normally be out of their character.
So when I see this, it is satisfying lol

I second this so seriously. This damn move is it 🤦♂️
Damn Ryu, he has the best looking Critical Art by far, in my opinion of course.

Lore accurate version.
🤣🤣🤣
Reversals mid-super would be some of the hypest shit ever
Let’s all stop.
And give it up for our longtime boy Ryu, and him genuinely smiling
ryu just keeps sucker punching people it's crazy
That smiling ryu has got to be a meme by now. Got that bitch please vibe to it 😁.
Probably kyle Herbert's best shoryuken
Chad Ryu does it again XD.
Ryu with the gigachad energy

Ryu: "You must defeat my Sho--"
Jamie: "Yeah I know, I know."
Then Jamie took the dp
That cut was so clean
Thanks dude:)
This has to be an official anti-super move. Like the clash system in injustice
Or Project Justice's interrupts mixed with Naruto Shippuden's super cancel qtes lol
So Satisfying !!!!
Dont mess with a invencible ex move next time! 🤣Amazing video
Thank you:)

Fun concept fs but probably wouldn’t be good in the long run

they should add this mechanic into the game, kinda like injustice wager
No
only if you both got meter for super. and you can only respond with a clash if you react during the opponent's animation.

No, thank you. Keep that nrs trash away from the good fighting games lmao
Not like injustice wager but I'd be cool if it was like All Star Battle where Jotaro using The World can can clash with Dio using The World
Lol i was expecting a its not 2022 meme
Jamie's super looks like it could have interactivity. Like, spend bar to not take as much more damage.
This is RYU, beach
The fact he gives you a chance is dope tho
0:02 tree disappeared lol
GigaChad finally!
He became what he was destined to:)
If Ryu wore air force 1's you'd be able to see the colors change
im am so hype for this game man
Me too dude;)

Awesome... well done..
