I’ve been smoking for years and have upped my weight lifting and always looked good. Since I have quit in 6 months I noticed my veins got bigger intensity increased even more and my running got better by 6mins. And I’m 40 now and smokes since I was 11. 2 packs a day and I thought I was in shape just after 6 months. I’ve gotten better at boxing and martial arts plus my training has greatly improved

Please don't stop working out, even if you can't stop smoking. While smoking is horrible and you should definitely quit, you can still be fit, even if it will be much harder as a smoker. If you can't have a whole loaf of bread, then a half will do, for the time being, at least.

Smoking and doing exercise is just quite discouraging. Most likely you won't be able to finish properly every routine and you'll quit. Do it like me, buy an e-cigarrette. Although this isn't proven to be a totally harmless alternative but you will not die doing exercises. Sex will improve too 😋

    I have a joke/riddle for you:
    Q. What do Titanic and Disney’s Pinocchio have in common?
    A. They both portray characters that, despite smoking, were strong and fit enough to rescue another person!
    Explanation:
In Titanic, Jack smoked but was still strong enough to pull Rose over the railing when she changed her mind about committing suicide.
In Pinocchio, the title character took a huge drag from the cigar but was still strong and fit enough to rescue Geppetto!
    Additional Comments:
When Pinocchio took a huge drag from the cigar, he immediately became disoriented and couldn’t even play pool properly. This is a huge contrast to the fitness he displayed when he rescued Geppetto! What an inconsistency!!
It’s also interesting that Pinocchio who’s a wooden boy got disoriented from taking a huge drag from the cigar while Lampwick who had a real human body didn’t experience anything after the same thing! Another major inconsistency!!
Do you have any questions or comments about my joke/riddle?

I was never a smoker and not even now. But i won't deny that i don't smoke. As a football player ik how much cardio is important to me to keep up with the players who can merely put your knees on the ground so i try to avoid it totally considering there is no god damn benefits in it. But usually, When my season is over and we are given a vacation for a certain time period, I do enjoy drinking and smoking here and there between that period but then again i totally stop before the season starts. But hey, i would suggest that you don't do it at all. And no, I don't face any stamina or endurance problem cuz i don't do it in between my seasons.

I workout like crazy, I’m a 5’8 135 pound male and I can get big muscles even while I smoke. Just workout a lot be physical, if we’re killing ourselves slowly by smoking cigarettes then at least workout as much as you can to make your heart work more. • @VitalityFitnessScience
      @VitalityFitnessScience  2 года назад +1

Hey my friend, I understand your struggle. You are definitely not alone with that. First of all what is important to mention is that its not the pandemic which causes you to smoke, but you making the decision each time you click the lighter. The pandemic is maybe just the catalysator.
      Regarding quitting:
There is a GREAT way (I did it myself) to quit anything: mental "awkwarding".
You basically each time you smoke a cigarette HEAVILY think about that you get cancer, that you close people will cry seeing you dying, that you become weaker etc. Its VERY efficient. Do it all the time you smoke and you will become day by day more and more disguisted by it until you smoke only 3, than 1, than a half, than one inhalation, and then never again. Good luck Adrian!

As an smoking athlete that has stop smoking for long periods and started again on repeat many time , i can tell with certainty that smoking does reduce fitness performance , not so much strength wise but aerobic definitely ! Make no mistake i was in perfect fitness level while smoking but you're a different animal without it ! and the testosterone theory is false ! Smoking males tend to have higher testosterone

Tough question man, there are multiple studies suggesting different things. I personally would say its more harmful due to the psychological effects and what comes with it but biochemically I need to look that up.
Maybe I will do a future video about that 💪🏼

I've heard that there's no studies that proofed nicotine as an addictive chemical, infact nicotine increase our ardrenaline that when someone already get use to that much of ardreanline, they will feel something missing when the ardreanling goes down and need more nicotine, what do you thing?is that count as adictive?

    • @VitalityFitnessScience

Nicotine is a neurostimulating substance, it for sure is addictive. There is indeed a coherence with adrenaline but nothing significant. Reason no. 1 is the effect of nicotine on your nerves itself.

Ive been a farmer since 5 and been a judoka since 15. Ive been smoking since 15 and that's my story. But nice to know👍

Its true, if you do sports and train regulary you might not feel the effect (depends how much u smoke as well), but there is also no comparison how it is without. There are also many professional athletes that smoke. Please be aware of the other effectd lile cancer and cardiovascular diseases which come later in life.
Thank you for your comment, much appreciated!

Bodies can get accustomed to a certain amount of oxygen, specially when you’re young, if you started young your body must be used to it already. But if you stopped for a while and then tried to go back to smoking, you’ll certainly feel the difference, trust me.

You German should know that pipe smoking isn't same as cigarette unless it's inhaled.
I have neighbors do massive exercise and smoke a pipe. Sometimes cigs.
I hate western now. I do exercise as well. I walk for like 2hrs a day.

It's of course better than simply smoking, but not ideal. Training and smoking is counteracting each other, it only improves your physical performance. The damage to your body (cardiovascular, cancer etc) still plays a big role is not to be neglected!

It's 365 cigarettes a year. If you have smoked for example for 5 years it's 1825 pieces. That's still a lot.
I smoked for several years and about 2-3 a day. I quit and my stamina increased a lot, therefore I can workout harder and I have could unlock new strength elements in calisthenics.
Best decision in my life, huge changes, but unfortunately sometimes it's very hard to keep off.
