Ok, first,... Pink Floyd is the name of the band NOT a person.
Also, there are two rules Pink Floyd fans insist on when listening to their music,... 1). Always were headphones because Floyd is known for the incredible sounds and complements in the background of their incredible compositions.
Rule 2). Never, Ever, EVER, pause or talk over a David Gilmour guitar solo! That's considered sacrilege!

Nah... Pink Floyd always ... ALWAYS sounds better on good speakers with good sound system... I keep seeing these "rules" ... and I guess they're of thumb... because if you're going to listen to Pink Floyd on your computer speakers, or your blue tooth speakers or soundbar... then yes... please use headphones... but if you have a decent sound system... with good speakers, good receiver and it's eq'd properly... that's the way to go... but stop saying that Pink Floyd needs to be listened to with headphones... that's just not true! ... the fact that most people don't have a decent sound system is why they should use headphones... but it is NOT the best way to listen to them... not by a mile.

I used to use a clock radio by the bed, and a separate alarm clock across the bedroom. If one didn’t wake me, the other would continue until I woke up. This is a great work of art. People don’t really consider the way time passes. We get caught up in education, work, relationships and before you it, you haven’t planned your life at all.
The whole Dark Side of the Moon album is great.
You have to remember also they made all those sounds 50 years ago. Amazing.
Pink Floyd always set the mood in the intro. Just get in and let it flow. Come back to this song in few year and discover deeper layers of meaning. it's a question of age and understanding. welcome to the journey.

I had a great uncle who ultimately lived 112 years. When I was in High School he told me that living a long time was like taking one day away for every year you live. Now that I'm 62 it makes perfect sense. (non-sequitur)
The "bongos" you hear are rortotoms. The triangle is a prism breaking up the white light into its component colors and represents the visual component of the The Pink Floyd Experience, that being the band's light show. View one of their selections from their PULSE show like Comfortably Numb or Run Like Hell and you will see what I mean.

I think, the bongos you’re hearing comes from Roger bass. He lightly touch the strings to give it damp sound. I saw that one on their video❤
Roger plucks the bass below the bridge as he mutes the strings with his left hand to make the metronome sound.

I keep seeing these "RULES" posts by "fans" saying that Pink Floyd needs to be listened to with headphones... that is totally incorrect and I hope it doesn't start a trend or whatever where people believe that to fully appreciate Floyd they have to wear headphones... NO. If you have a good sound system with nice speakers, subwoofer and receiver... that's the way to go... it creates ambiance... in animals, you can hear the dogs barking in the distance and you can never get the "punch" from headphones... if you only have computer speakers, or a soundbar or just crappy setup... then yes, headphones is the way to go... BUT it is NOT the best way to listen to Pink Floyd... even in a crappy Sonos setup like the 5.1 with ARC and SUB ... will blow your mind... and that's not even audiophile level quality...
