Besides Jamie and Claire, I think Lord John Grey is the best character in Outlander! Time and time again he showed his love and loyalty to Jamie. He's generous, kind, caring, and a true gentleman. Even raised Jamie's son as his own. I wish they'd give him a happy ending he deserves!! Anyway, I think they casted the perfect William and I'm so excited to watch how the show and DG will tie all the loose ends in the story.

For those saying that William is Brianna’s only sibling and that they are Jamie’s only (living) children, I want to remind you that Fergus is Brianna and William’s actual brother too, through adoption, but their brother nonetheless. Jamie and Claire have always considered Fergus their son and they formally adopted him, so he is as much Brianna’s big brother as her half-brother young William. This doesn’t take away from this special moment of his youngest child meeting one of his siblings, and Jamie witnessing it, but I wanted to remind everyone they have another sibling too.

As amazing to see Brianna meet her brother, also to see her as a very mature adult is just as. Obviously she was spoiled but how she grew from the sufferings and having a family. It’s we are seeing her grow right in front of us. Just an amazing show.
This episode what a heart breaker, especially Jamie , Brianna, Claire and Lord John scenes. The scene with William was short so I’m looking forward to much more from his character. The hour episode flew by, must savor them more.
When William says that sometimes the only way to settle things is with iron and blood, I love the side glance Brianna gives Lord John like she’s thinking, “Well, that’s a chip off the old block!” Although…Jamie has definitely become more diplomatic with age.
I love that moment where Bree says, Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ when she sees Lord John and his half brother! And when Jamie sees them talking together. It was really an intense moment! 👏👏👏🙌😍🥰❤️❤️❤️
Well, I guess she reminds him of his own image in the mirror, if both of them look a lot like Jamie. Sometimes it's not so easy to pinpoint. I remember one day when I discovered how much my brother looked like me, I hadn't realized before, but there was a picture where I could see the resemblance a lot better than I had perceived before.

I know Roger/Bree went back, but (SPOILER ALERT) knowing that come back, I hope that these two get to share the screen again, this time being able to truly get to know each other as brother and sister. I know Fergus/Young Ian have been like brothers to her, but would love for her to be able to have a relationship with her true brother and for Jamie to watch his kids bond as such, not just as strangers while Willie has NO CLUE who his real father is. I know there's only a season and a half left, I hope they get to something like this and I hope that they get to all the other major plot points. Hopefully Starz will give the writers enough episode to not only hit, but dealve into all the key moments .

When Jamie was a prisoner at Helwater (season 3) the oldest daughter of the Lord of Helwater was about to be married to a man as old as her father while she was about 17. She blackmailed Jamie into taking her virginity and ended up pregnant before she married. She got married, had the boy and died shortly after giving birth. Her husband claimed the boy wasn't his and threatened to end William for he was a bastard.

Like the books, parts of this tv series are wonderful. In a few instances they've improved upon the book, in some, sadly, the most humorous scenes have been omitted. But it would lend a great deal if the actors were at least somewhat accurately attired. No proper female would be walking about without a hat. *I'll reserve comment on the cap, as we'll go along with Bree shares Clare's aversion to them. And I will confine this to headwear rather than going further. IMHO the actor playing Bree very poorly cast. As is Hal, Lord John's brother. Altogether there are many fine performances. The deleting of Jamie's most outstanding distiguishing characteristic, his prodigious height, leaves a great vacuum, as his height & flame red hair, are the first things that alert people to him. Still, it's nice to see the novels come to life.
So happy to finally see Brianna meet her brother. I hope we’ll get to see the scene where Willie finally realizes Jamie is his father.

I get not wanting to switch actors but it's just so funny when they recast the younger ones and they are close to the age of their "parents". Vikings did this as well, and it wasn't great

Like the books, parts of this tv series are wonderful.
In a few instances they've improved upon the book, in some, sadly, the most humorous scenes have been omitted.
But it would lend a great deal if the actors were at least somewhat accurately attired.
No proper female would be walking about without a hat.
*I'll reserve comment on the cap, as we'll go along with Bree shares Clare's aversion to them. And I will confine this to headwear rather than going further.
IMHO the actor playing Bree very poorly cast. As is Hal, Lord John's brother.
Altogether there are many fine performances.
The deleting of Jamie's most outstanding distiguishing characteristic, his prodigious height, leaves a great vacuum, as his height & flame red hair, are the first things that alert people to him.
Still, it's nice to see the novels come to life.
