    When Jerry mentions his son, it must have been crushing for Roger not to say that he is his son and when he mentioned Marjorie's name and could not tell him why. "I love you" at the end really hurt. Jerry doesn't recognize his own son sitting there.

    I've read the books a few times and loved Buck and Rogers adventures. How herself wove in that if Roger hadn't saved his Father he himself wouldn't have survived the air raid (possibly)

      “Buck Rogers” would make a good sci-fi show.

    The showrunners honor the books as written. The earlier ones were more intriguing, but Gabaldon had to expand her narrative range to include Roger and Brianna and kids and their storylines.

    ok i need some answers, and dont say "watch the show" because i dont have the channel or streamer service for it, just answer some questions please:
    was the blonde hair the father or the black hair? did both come from the future? if not then how did one of them know about spitfires?

    • @halloween42
      @halloween42 14 дней назад +5

      the blond hair (Jerry) is the father of the black hair (Roger). They are both from the future - mid 1900s. When Roger was very young his father, a spitfire pilot in WW2, disappeared in action. (Roger's mother died a little later and he was adopted by a relative.) Both father and son are time-travellers. Now, after LOTS of things that have happened in the 7 seasons of Outlander, Roger travelled back in time from 1960s to find his own son, Jemmy, who was kidnapped. Here, in the past (a few hundred years back) Roger meets his father by stroke of luck and discovers that when Jerry disappeared during WW2, he actually travelled to this time in the past accidentally. Roger is familiar with time-travel and knows that Jerry is his father but Jerry is completely new to all this and doesn't know that Roger is his son. When you time-travel through the stones, you have to think of the person whose time you want to go to. So Roger told Jerry to think of his wife, not son. Because if Jerry would think of his son, he would stay there because Roger was there.

      @@halloween42 thank you. very interesting, so, there is a 3rd one in this issue that the video doesnt show, rogers son, do i understand that right? i thought you needed something like a diamond to activate the stone. how did the lady at the start of the series get to that time? she had no reason to think of anyone from hundreds of years back. i wish there was a set of stones like that in real life, id take me a trip back to the 80s and set a few things right.

    • @halloween42
      @halloween42 13 дней назад +3

      @@feralbigdog yes you are right. We don't see Roger's son, Jemmy here.
      The lady at the beginning of the show, Claire, was in Scotland with her husband Frank, in 1945 right after WW2 ended. Frank was a historian and he was researching about his ancestors mainly a man called Jonathan Randall, who was in the English Army stationed in Scotland in 1753. (Horrendous man) Frank was discussing this man in details with another person (Roger's relative who adopted him) and Claire was present in the room during this discussing about Jonathan Randall and heard it all. So when she went to the stones, Jonathan Randall was in her mind. So when she touched the stones she went back to 1753.
      You don't need a diamond specifically. Any gemstone will do. Claire was wearing a watch studded with a gemstone.
      Don't we all want to go back and clear our messes a bit, my dude? :)

      @@halloween42 just wanted to say thank you for answering the question! These clips are designed to spark people's interest in a show, but lots of times it's just not possible for people to "just watch the show". This show has been on for years, it's kinda crazy to expect someone to watch a whole series, or even understand what's going on if they just watch the episode the clip is from. Appreciate your responses here!👍👍

    Someone help me, please. I'm confused about how Clair and also this pilot got through the stones the first time. Other times they all need gemstones to make it through. What did I miss? Thanks!

    • @haneneben1566
      @haneneben1566 29 дней назад +5

      Well as far as I know Claire was wearing a watch and it had a gem on it which her travel safe so it must have been the same for james. Also the gems make time travel safe but I think it's possible without it

    • @SA-hf3fu
      @SA-hf3fu 29 дней назад +1

      @@haneneben1566 Yeah, maybe so. I do wish they'd been a bit clearer. Like they could have shown Clair wearing a necklace with a gem or the pilot with a wedding ring but like I said, maybe they were there somewhere and I missed it. Yes, maybe it's possible without it as long as you 'hear' the buzzing. When Jamie took Clair to the stones to return to Frank, she asked Jamie if he could hear the buzzing and he said "no, I don't hear anything". But when Brianna and Roger went to the stones the first time, they both heard the buzzing. Hmmm. Thank you!

    • @haneneben1566
      @haneneben1566 29 дней назад +1

      @@SA-hf3fu well they do show her wearing the watch but its subtle. And at the point in the story where Claire Time travels she doesn't know anything about it and neither do we so we learn alongside her, I think that's why they don't really show anything to keep the suspense.
