Legit had me singing along after awhile 😂 this is nuts tho. Loved watching his process. Pain is really such a super talented dude, man. “Sleeeepin over, seeaas and oceans” aayyyeee lol
@Breezythegr8 yes & no, just sing it the same way everytime and the pitch correct should have you sounding the same as the 1st adlib/harmony you laid... Now if you're not a real singer then yes it's difficult for sure 💪... oh and if people notice he didn't just copy n paste his stacks 🔥
I love watching these back over and over. I am in awe how he can lay backings and not reference them until they are all done and just know what works and what needs a change on the fly. Then the VST knowledge and control is second to none (I know of)! Thank you for sharing this experience T-Pain! You make my days brighter!
Kiss Kiss by CB & You is the reason why I am the artist I am today. I love watching these videos. Thank you for using your talents and skills to motivate others such as myself. You are a legend. love from Austin Texas and a big fan!
He really makes me want to work on the graph. I grew up with a mad love for music, Have been trying to get my playing in order. Also in Austin for now.
I love that you do this. I haven’t made music in a couple of years, focusing on my career as I get older. This really makes me want to open my daw back up
Im not musically inclined at all, but i wish i was. 😂 I appreciate these behind the scenes sessions. I feel like i learn something. The Hert Life one for Baby Got Brap was cool bc you see his confidence grow as he went on. Thanks for sharing with us, Mr. Pain. ❤❤😊😊
Dope to see the process! Surprised he just using an affordable mic, the TLM 103. At least that’s what it looks like. I have that mic. It’s all about what you do with it though.
Yeah isn't that crazy. I even use a TLM49 lol. Well I choose between that a C414 and a MXL Genesis as far as condenser mics go. But as u stated, u can buy the most expensive mic but that doesn't guarantee you a good song, you can very well end up w just a shined turd at the end of the day...
Pain I can't lie... I've always felt the same about United Audio. Now I'm online (currently) looking into buying one.... Literally right f**k'n now.. 😂I just had to stop to check out this vid real quick 💯
Really not hard to record yourself once you get the equipment (which you don't need much). A lot of artists get ripped off without knowing it. Once you learn the basics it's an easy process from that point.
@@julufaded facts. And I encourage it because you can find your own sound instead of going with what the engineer can do. T-Pain is the perfect example of this because his style of Autotune is on almost everything.
I wanna say thank you cause watching this made me have a better understanding of how echos recording and auto works. I do this recording process but so much harder..
UAD Pre is something magical I absolutely love it. I was blown away about your creativity on how you stack your dubs and hits. Listing to your harmony's how you stack so many so timely and precisely is key in the process. I love the fact that you shared your creative side in such an intimate session. I see you adjusted some waves compressor do you mix or tighten things up before you send out for a mix? I'm curious to ask do you track and mix to a two track, or did she just send the two track to track and mix with the beat track outs later in the process? If you do mix would love to watch your process as well. Cheers my friend wish you much success hope this song goes platinum.
A lot of artists don’t have the discipline to put in this kind of work ethic when recording. They think software can make your vocals sound phat/thick like this without doing the various takes.
I love watching the process! I see you use FL Studio for beats and then Pro Tools for the vocals. What does Pro Tools do that FL can't for the vocals? Thanks!
lots of commercial mixing/mastering engineers use pro tools for recording due to its stability compared to other DAWs - its sort of just an industry standard. FL is getting there but for now pro tools is the most used
@@dairepurnelll it’s not more plugins. The same plugins are used across multiple DAWs. It’s more intuitive for recording/mixing than it is for production.
@@dairepurnelll yes what I believe you're referring to is the quality of the binary words that are translated from the DAW's binary coding, which is why Pro Tools has better sound quality. I actually use the same set up, I run FL Studio as a rewire in Pro Tools, strictly as a drum sequencer, then I law down all other sounds, instruments and vox in Pro Tools. The lay out and functionality of Pro Tools just works better for me to record and mix in. I just bounce the drums out of FL, import to PT and go from there. Not to drop in on your comment, I just love to talk music and I'm excited cuz I just finished mixing my new album 😁

I’m obsessed with the song can’t wait until it comes out and being able to see his process made it so much better. Raw talent.
Me too
I'm waiting too.. I watch this video more the 3 times a week. I need the full song. I damn near know it word for word now.
Tpain animation over tracks is flawless. Swag&style. UNMATCHABLE..imagine him and Busta in the same track
Would be an interesting collaboration :)
@twitchmusichighlights they have one now with Da Baby
Coke Dope Crack Smack remix.
One of the best "How to" videos in regards to studio sessions for new artists out there.
Never realized how stacked pain's vocals are. Mans does a lot of tracks
What ever it takes for that sound. You will know it when you hear it.
Good BGVs or adlibs you need about 3 to 4 vocal stacked tracks to have fullness and those harmonies more prominent 💪
@@rapture2628 correct. And then if they are slightly off. Which they are, they sync them up with Vocalign which is like butter.
it’s also very difficult to stack auto tune vocals because they have to be i the same exact pitch

I didn't know Jordin Sparks makes music still. Throwback seeing these 2 names together.

You should do it :)
Why stop you can do more than one thing at a time. Don't waste time doing things you don't like doing. Spend time on things you love to do.

You should…. If music makes you happy you must do it.
