It's hard to name a more iconic movie than this one. I've always loved how innocent Forrest was, even when someone at his college was being racist. He thought they were talking about racoons.
Fun Fact: When Forest runs on the path just before he turns into the field, the truck is only a few feet behind him. But when he runs into the field and the camera swivel to the right, he is suddenly at least 50 yards in front of the car.
Poor thing. Misunderstood. Ridiculed. Bullied. But that essential goodness kindness and innocence shines through always. Lovely film. Beautiful soundtrack.

I keep watching clips of this movie, I forgot how absolutely amazing it is and how much the man accomplished by sheer simple will to do without question... I need to rewatch this as I am 38 and remember seeing this movie while in my teens.
Forrest was smart af....a genius that rubbed everybody the wrong way. He awkwardly spoke facts and I loved it 🤩 U can say what u want about him but he loved his mama, graduated from high school, went to college and the army, he was loyal to Jenny & Bubba, he wasnt broke, he had his own business and home, traveled around the world even on foot, never disrespected Lieutenant Dan and he wasn't a deadbeat after he found out he had a son🤣 F.G was far from slow he was a good MAN
He wasn't good at book learning, but we could all learn from Forrest about how to be our authentic selves. I love the fact that despite him not being that smart he read to his son. That's super important and Forrest knows that.
This movie was so heartbreaking. I loved it but watching again I realized how sad. Oh how much he loved Jenny right from the first time he heard her voice. True true love. There were so many quotable lines in this movie. So many memorable moments.
Gump went through life knowing 2 things for sure. That a man should be kind if he can, and that love and respect are the same thing and everyone needs them. We should all strive to be so smart.

Rebel Rouser is a really good song in this scene because of the way it gets people moving, like how Forest is running away from those guys in the truck.

Forrest is fast as hell and he's got blocking most of the way, but in the vicinity and sequence you showed he has 0 support and the opposition should probably have done more. Their positioning is kinda shit, especially since Forrest just runs in straight lines (which isn't typical in football and is maybe used to some comedic effects when he makes his hard 90 degree turns). Then again, Im no expert.
