This was a very helpful video. I especially appreciate the sticky note. I wouldn't have thought of that, and it really put each size in perspective when comparing them. Thank you so much! You saved me quite a bit of money. 😃
The A5 always looked so big in videos but it's definitely less intimidating in person. I love using it now, especially because I can’t think in a narrow layout either, I’m glad I’m not the only one. This was so helpful to see all the sizes in context!
Exactly! I thought the A5 was huge so I have opted to use the B6…which I am loving BUT now I know the A5 is no where near the size of a sheet of paper-8.5x11🤦🏾♀️
OMG this is the video I needed to see. Ive seen online the size comparison of them but nothing like a video to show the difference. Ive been wanting a TN but one that would fit my Field Notes notebooks. I guess I will be looking for an A6. Thank you Tori on Paper! New subscriber here! 👋
Thank you for this! I just started journaling and started out with an A5 but I also tried a B6 slim which I really liked. I guess this just proved to stick with my A5 since it’s just easier to find more notebooks around because it’s standard sizing. Thanks!
I’m so glad it was helpful for you! Thank you so much for the feedback 🩷 I feel like it’s so much easier to make a decision when you can see them side by side
This was super helpful, I’ve had in my head that I NEED to move to Weeks but seeing size compared to a TN has made me realise it wouldn’t work for me…so thank you for saving me some money 💸 ❤
Thanks for this video! The idea of stacking them like that and using a post-it and same content helped me a lot. I am feeling a5 too big nowadays but TN regular felt too narrow when I tried. I will give A6 a go and increase to B6 if needed!
Wish I had seen this before ordering the hobonichi pencil boards for the in coming TN standard size.. good thing it’s not an expensive purchase. Great vid!
I’m glad this was helpful! I use different size pencil boards with my books all the time and don’t mind it so maybe it will workout fine for you :) thanks for being here 💕
Tori, did you see that Sterling Ink launched a B6 Academic Common Planner? I couldn't resist and purchased it last night. 😅I don't know if I needed it, I was holding strong with my A6 Hobonichi Original and Weeks Mega but missed having one book. I love the Spring Cousin but didn't buy one this year....enter the Common Planner.
I did see that! I think that’s so cool and probably would have gotten one if I was still in college. I’m trying to stay away from vertical weekly pages so I don’t think I’ll get one anytime soon. You’ll have to let me know how you like yours! 💕
I really like the paper! It’s definitely a little thicker and sometimes when I use my fountain pen the ink feathers a little bit but other than that I’ve never had any problems!

Yes I totally agree that A5 is less scary than in looks! I think narrow layouts are very aesthetically pleasing, my brain just can’t get on board 😅

Super interesting to see all of these options compared! I’m also a square girlie and like lots of space so A5 all the way!

@@torionpaper I will!
That Field Notes notebook is DARLING! How do you find the Field Notes paper?
I really like the paper! It’s definitely a little thicker and sometimes when I use my fountain pen the ink feathers a little bit but other than that I’ve never had any problems!
@@torionpaper Thank you!
