I attempted to upload a video (100 MB in size) to a topic, but when I tried to preview my course, I was unable to see the play button for the video. It appears to be black without video.
I just got tasked with learning and editing a WP site that utilizes LearnDash. Thanks for the create video. I will be going over your video a few more times, and others. My client said to use the existing blocks and rename, then edit in the new course.
Glad it was helpful!
My WordPress client's former web developer was creating learning blocks with Net Fusion and doing a cut & paste into LearnDash. I've been tasked with creating more education blocks going forward. When I first opened a learning block that is currently live, the working page is all html code. No front end editing, just the html code page. I was told to copy an existing block (duplicate) and replace it with the new content and video links manually. I know there's an easier way after reviewing your tutorials.
Thanks very helpful.
I'm so glad it was helpful!
@@witandwire Leaning towards Learn dash wish me luck
Geez Loueez, you're good. I FINALLY found what I need. I'll be back .....
I'm so glad this video was helpful!
Please tell me - is my program secure from customer's grabbing it, editing it and selling it? They've done this in the past. @@witandwire
A corollary question: is my training program password protected? I'm concerned about security. If so, can the password be passed around to others?
Excellent job!❤ do you help setup sites too? Well done
Thank you! I offer a limited number of 1:1 services, which have included course tech setup (witandwire.com/services), but I primarily work with online business owners through my online programs (witandwire.com/courses).
Amazing video!
Can you please do a video on groups plus of learn dash
Great suggestion, so we'll bookmark this for a future video idea.

This video was very helpful, thank you! However, when I add a video block and insert the loom link it doesn't work. Just a grey screen, any idea why?
Great question. I’d recommend reaching out to Loom or LearnDash’s support team directly so they can take a closer look.
Great video! Do anyone knows if I can url a video from google drive (instead of, for example, Vimeo)?
Great question. You can’t use Google Drive because they don’t offer embeddable players. Instead, you could try ScreenPal (witandwire.com/screenpal) or Bunny.net (witandwire.com/bunny.net)
Hello, I have a question. We have created our website with WordPress, and we wanted to create courses in WordPress. Is it fine to have courses and a website in WordPress? Or do we need to create a new account in WordPress so it doesn't have any conflict with both courses and website?
Great question! It’s up to you. I’ve seen business owners add a plugin like LearnDash to their primary website, but I’ve seen others use a separate website and URL. There’s not a right or wrong answer, and there are pros and cons to each. So it’s definitely possible if your preference is to have one WordPress account. (In that case, you would install a plugin like LearnDash on your existing site.)
Excellent review Melissa - may I ask if you recommend this plugin for WordPress over others such as Sensei? Do you use it yourself?
I don’t currently use a WordPress plugin, and admittedly I haven’t tested Sensei. You can see a full list of the independent course platforms I recommend in our free Course Creation Toolkit here: witandwire.com/coursetoolkit-youtube
Thank you so much for your reply. Although I have decided to use LearnDash as I develop all my websites on WordPress where do you create your courses? I respect you are busy hence no problem if you can't reply

We have courses in Teachable ( witandwire.com/teachable ), ThriveCart Learn+ ( witandwire.com/thrivecart ) & in Circle ( witandwire.com/circle )

I'm a little confused: I need a subdomain for sure. Does this mean I have to register a new domain with a domain host? Further, I'll have several different courses. Do each of these need me to set up separate domains with a domain host?
Subdomains are at no additional cost. If you own the root domain, you can create subdomains for it via your domain registrar. You’d likely use one subdomain per platform, so everything under LearnWorlds would exist under one subdomain. I hope that helps.
I would like to add a course to my business website thats on WP. How can I add the course that is developed through LearnDash as a tab in my header? Or, woud I require to have a new website setup for the course only?
I would like companies to onto my site and from there select courses in the header, and from the header into the learndash course. Is this possible?
Great question! The short answer is yes. If you use LearnDash (witandwire.com/learndash), you have the choice to add it to your current website using a plug-in OR you could create a new site under a new domain. It sounds like you’d want to use the plugin.
If you add the plugin to your current WordPress site, then your LearnDash students would all be added as users to your existing site, and your courses would be part of your site’s content, built with the plugin (as you see in the video). I hope that helps.
How do you make the video from a link only viewable for paid subscribers? Wouldn't the video be public on the platform, or private and then only viewable to you? I'm not getting this part. Thanks for your help in advance!
Great question, although it will depend which video hosting platform you choose. In general, the video will only available through your course as long as it’s set to private (or a similar label) in the video hosting platform.
To upload plugin I need to have a creator plan right?
They have a few different paid options, but yes, LearnDash is a paid plugin.
Can I install Learndash on my website without creating a subdomain? Will it affect the main site?
Great question. There are multiple ways to implement LearnDash, so if you wanted to put it on a subdomain, they have a blog post about that approach here: www.learndash.com/should-you-use-a-subdomain-for-learndash
Well, I'm stuck .... don't know what to do now. Mine is different than the video here ...
We're sorry to hear you are stuck. We'd recommend looking at the resources and webinars LearnDash offers on their site here: academy.learndash.com/

Perhaps a silly question - Do I have to number the lessons and is this common practice? I'm kinda hoping it's not always the norm!
If you lessons are made to be consumed chronologically it might make sense to number them, but if your lesson are topical it might make sense to name them. It's ultimately up to you.
- Team Wit & Wire
Thank You. They are topical so I removed the numbering. For me it looks cleaner now! 😀@@witandwire
Hello , may i ask why when i open the course i get nothing to build , its just a blank page :(
We'd recommend reaching out to LearnDash support since that sounds like a technical issue.
- Team Wit & Wire
@@witandwire thank you 😊✌️
You're welcome!
Thank you for this. You didn't show how to add the date to the certificate. It's not working with adding the name. 😳
If you’re having issues with the name, I’d recommend reaching out to LearnDash’s support team directly since they’ll be able to take a closer look. You can also browse their detailed help articles, which get into all of the features in depth. You’ll find options in the footer of their website: witandwire.com/learndash
Dear, your explanation is great and even the ads in you video is great feat to your explanation!
I think i will go with learndash instead of teachble, if you remember me previous comment from another your video)) because as far as i understand in learndash i can easily use woocommerce for checkout
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful, thank you!
