    The Volvo EX30, available to order now in selected markets*, is a cornerstone of the strategic transformation we are on as a company. Already by mid-decade, we aim for half of our global sales volumes to consist of fully electric cars and to reach an operating profit margin of 8-10 per cent. By 2030, we plan to sell only fully electric models.
    We expect the EX30 to be one of our best-selling models in coming years as we work towards those ambitions, and it will significantly contribute to our growth and profitability objectives.
    With the Volvo EX30, we enter a new and fast-growing segment for our brand. There is a growing demand from consumers globally for small, fully electric premium SUVs. For example, many people living in the city are looking for a car that brings convenience and allows them to commute to work and get around, while doing so in a way that reflects who they are.
    The EX30 is also designed to be as safe as you’d expect from a Volvo car and aims to look after both you and others in hectic urban environments. For example, it includes a special safety feature for bikes that helps to prevent so-called ‘dooring’ accidents, by alerting you when you are about to open your door in front of a cyclist, scooter or runner. State-of-the-art protective safety tech further illustrates how we’ve applied our high safety standards to the EX30.
    The EX30 provides drivers with a true and capable SUV, born electric and packed with all the smart tech that they need. Combined with an attractive starting price of around EUR 36,000, this means customers get a premium fully electric SUV for a similar price to combustion engine-powered equivalents.
    And as if that wasn’t enough, data from our initial analysis in two markets shows the total cost of ownership to be currently lower than any other fully electric Volvo car - and well ahead of much of the competition in the electric, small SUV segment*.
    With its convenient size, smart technology and different configurations to choose from, the Volvo EX30 is designed to appeal to a wide range of customers - each with their own preferences, needs and ways of life.
    That same flexibility and convenience is reflected in the way we structured the commercial offer. It is designed around convenience and freedom of choice. You decide how you want to access a Volvo EX30: for example through outright ownership, leasing or subscription.
    Our Care by Volvo subscription offer has been very successful in recent years, not in the least because it gives customers flexibility and price predictability. We’ll offer that same level of transparency on the EX30: you can see your monthly cost at a glance, without hidden fees or costs, allowing you to enjoy life with your EX30 even more.

    Them: The single motor is better for daily driving
    Also them: Buy the twin motor
    Them again: The single motor is more than enough

    Great video once again! I've noticed a lot of reviewers mention that the price between the single motor and twin motor versions is only around 3000 euros, but at least in my country where the Core version of the car is also available, the price between Single Motor Extended Range and Twin Motor Performance is actually well over 6000 euros, since you need to first get the Plus version (or the Ultra💸) to be able to also get the second motor.

    Thanks lads for this excellent review. I'll be getting one next year and probably get the middle one you are driving. I have a citron c4 and the speed is in the middle so I'm used to that

    Hi Dan, you’ve mentioned some screen flickering of the display, as a warning. Perhaps fixing the refresh rate matching that of the tablet (25hz?) will do the trick? Other reviewers seem to have less problems with it.

    First, let’s talk about how the single motor version is better matched to the handling (the twin motor being a bit “scary”), then having said that decide “I want the twin motor because it goes so fast”.
    I don’t get it.
    In the real world, when is the under 6-second 0-60 mph not fast enough? If you need 4 wheel drive due to snow or other reasons then great, but buying it because it does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds seems misguided.

    • @DennisHelmar
      @DennisHelmar 8 месяцев назад +1

      Living near Boston it's mostly necessary to have all wheel drive for the Ice and snow. The range seems still up in the air. I'm looking forward to a couple of year's from now when the batteries will be way better. Having access to Teslas charging network next year will be epic!

    Great video! Google needs to get voice control working with all the functions on the screen so you don't have to push them while driving. Should be able to ask for the speed range and efficiency through voice also. What do you think about putting 19" wheels on the dual motor version to increase efficiency?

    • @SDADanCars
      @SDADanCars  8 месяцев назад

      I think 19 inch will be fine 👍

    The worst part of the car for me is the portrait display. Makes navigation smaller and moves the speed further out of your peripheral vision.

      do you know if the screen is horizontal it will be lower and you have to look down more and harder to have a glance than the portrait one?

    Im only 3 minuttes in, so mind you, it might change - but WHY are you driving like that? There was a sign saying 50 km pr hour speed limit and youre just casually driving 72 km pr hour. Thats 44% over the speed limit and enough to give you a penalty point and a huge fine. Youre on winding roads and another thing, youre shaking the stearing wheel constantly. Making me anxious that youll just steer off the road. Why arent you holding the stearing wheel calmly? Is it because you are speeding that you dont have proper controll? Why were you speeding in the first place? This stresses me out so much 🙃
