I have watched a bunch of compilations of "the top 10 voice auditions" and I am amazed to see that Karise's is absent from a lot of them. I can't believe people have the audacity to call their lists the "best" and not have this one in there (at # 1). It is the only audition I have ever seen where every judge turned simultaneously. Karise has a deep, soul quality that gives me goose bumps when she hits the growling notes. When I saw her blind audition, I turned to my wife and said "if this girl doesn't win this thing, I will never watch another one of these shows ever again". She won it..........easily. She has something that no one else in that first edition of the Voice Australia could touch. The rest never had a chance after Karise went on that stage.
I can think of a couple Voice auditions where the judges turned very soon and simultaneously, if not sooner than this. But none of them have anything on Karise Eden. Everything else I totally agree with you 100%.

If i had to follow that, i would call a taxi and go home , until next year. The quality of her voice is otherworldly. It's almost frightening how intense and powerful she is. She was given a gift at birth. No one can learn what she possesses . You either have it or you don't.
She had experienced such hardship already in her 19 years when she auditioned. You can tell that singing was the place she went to escape life’s problems. So wonderful to see and read that life is so much better for her now and she’s a Mum! Respect to you Karise and your foster parents. You got knocked down but you sure did get back up again 🤛 ❤️

Seal's forgetting to sit down (for 23 seconds after they turned, and after almost forgetting to press his button) was pretty good - and telling - too! As someone else said, I think they all would have turned immediately if they weren't in shock.
Only that moment between 0:37 & 0:39 was enough to kill me! I heard it around 50 times now, still the same goosebumps and the desire to shouuuut louuuuud. Her voice is electrifying damnn it !
this is the best audition ever, by far!!! I follow her on Facebook and she got prettier with the years. she couldn't stand the fame, but she still making music and of course, delighting with her singing. Karise, you are the singer!!
I was thoroughly and completly moved by the beauty of this young lady's voice. It was dirty, SOULFUL and my words can't convey how utterly awesome(in the truest sense of that overused word) she really is. I must watch it on a daily basis and usually at least twice. I also rarely comment on here but I don't have a choice this time. After watching this dozens and dozens of times I still absolutely love her. Wherever she goes to bring us this gift of song I am thankful she enjoys the trip as much as I do.

Even now, so many years on, you close your eyes you will never ever picture karise eden as the singer. That is an incredible performance. Possibly th ebest 'voice' audition of any country, and there have been some excellent ones.

I bought them and will keep buying anything she sells. If I could, I'd visit Australia just to see her in concert. I haven't been touched by a voice like this since Roberta Flack in the '70s. Completely different voice, but the emotion.... incredible.
Every time I need a lift; inspiration; hope... I come here and listen to this. I want this EXACT performance pressed onto perfect BluRay or 4k digital format and "I WILL BUY THIS," to have a perfect, clean digital copy. I don't care if she never becomes a superstar; in MY heart, she was a superstar the moment she was brave enough and gracious enough to share that first song and her amazing talent with us. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!!!! I was literally blown away by her voice. So much soul in such a young voice. I am definitely a fan. Having said that... for the 11 people who gave a "Thumbs Down"... you do NOT know talent if it bit you on the ass....

That's not her father, they're not her parents, but they took care of her. She's had a hard life, according to a documentary, and the fame got to her, so she had to take a break. She's amazing. Best singer across all editions of this show, ever
How this woman has 42 dislikes is beyond me. Karise Eden is an amazing singer. I hope and pray she finds fame in the US because she deserves it.
