I bought the SQ5 in November. It's amazing. I don't understand the "southbeach09" guy (but apparently he lives in Florida, an odd place to be driving this car in the first place) commenting on "ugly wheels". My car has gorgeous 21" wheels, two-tone, which are a beautiful contrast to the Monsoon Gray color of the vehicle. I read a review of this car somewhere which described the ride as a "tidal wave", and I couldn't agree more. The thing just surges ahead like it's on a mission to flatten everything ahead of it. I have been an Audi fan for quite a while, and the love affair continues.
I've seen another review with the same guy testing a 0-60 and both times have been very slow. I'm not sure what he's doing or if it's his timing device, but I've been using a Passport G-Timer for 5 years now on three different Audis and my times are much closer to professional review sites. I tested three cars on relatively flat roads in the same general city area, in roughly 70 degree weather on dry roads, all using the same G-Timer. Here is what I found. 1. 2009 Audi TTS Stage I APR - 4.18 seconds w/ launch control, 5.25 seconds w/o launch control, 2. 2013 Audi S5 Stock - 4.47 seconds w/ launch control, 5.1 seconds w/o launch control. 3. 2016 Audi SQ5 stock - 5.2 seconds w/o launch control (it's too new to stress with the launch control). So as you can see, the SQ5 is virtually as fast as the outgoing TTS model and the current S5 when launch control is not in play. Because my TTS and S5 times matched so closely to professional review sites, I also believe my SQ5 time is much more accurate than the guy in this video gets
+nseybert The reason why is elevation! All TFL clips are in Denver (mile high city - 5280 ft). I live at 6400ft an hour from Denver. My Infiniti G37 is 1.9 seconds slower here than in L.A. and 1.1 seconds slower in Las Vegas which is above 3000 ft. elevation. All forced induction cars will perform better than naturally aspirated cars at higher elevations.
So, you didn't have the balls to leave your Matt Farah article up, when you knew you'll meet him on a press event? Yeah, he just called you out on his podcast.
Heres a question, is there any performance SUV's under 30k with awd that beat this car? I can't find any. Maybe a 2012 Jeep GC SRT8 but they have reliability issues. Thoughts?
The SQ5 comes with a 3.0 BiTDI which produces around 300 hp but 650 pound feet of torque and it makes an awesome v8 burble so once again the Americans aren't so lucky...
Most cars disappoint me today. Just build a car I don't have to babysit that isn't a stripped down like a KIA or Hyundai. Also, wtf is up with cars today being stupid expensive for shit quality... Evoque.
Unimpressive...mercedes gla45 amg coming later this year has 355hp from a 2 liter...0-60 in under 4.8, gets 30mpg and lapped the nurburgring just over 8 min... also you can take your gla amg to the track as a "wagon" and you cannot take your sq5 "suv" to most tracks
Not "much" smaller...a little smaller. Gla based on cla and q5 based on a4... lighter and more power is always a good thing! It's nice to see gla45, sq5/ macan etc...
Shahul Usman GLA is based on A class which is a compact car like Audi A3. A4 is bigger therefore Q5 is bigger as well. And over 550lb heavier. That's a lot.
You must not know, most Audi S's are sleeper sports cars that look subtle but are quite quick. Its all part of the fun and adds to the stealth factor. If you want designs that are flashier, then RS is for you.
lfsracer79 Are you kidding me? Just picture a large piece of cardboard and yourself running at a speed of 60mph. The force exercised on the cardboard by the air would be clear in the timing it would take for you to get to 60mph if you were you were holding it or not.
If you had turned TRACTION control off instead of CLIMATE control off maybe 0-60 times would be better hahaha just busting your balls i like this channel a lot and love the sq5
An RSQ5 would be an absolute beast.

Guessing you don’t own it anymore? How was it
@@HamzaGuzel690 I do still own it after 10+ years! It’s been phenomenal! What a great rig.
@@NatureGirl62 ohhh my god. I was not expecting a reply let alone you still owning that beast. How has it treated you? How many miles is on her?
@@HamzaGuzel690 165k. Never a single mechanical issue with this car. It’s been absolutely amazing.
The SQ5 seems awesome, can't wait to see the verdict.
I would have actually liked to see a longer review on this SQ5.
Me too
CONGRATS ON REACHING ONE MILLION RUclips SUBSCRIBERS!!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Roman, heard about you meeting Matt F. recently. I think you officially have a nemesis now ;)
Whats with the 70's porn music at the start lol

Hey Dude, can you make a full detailed version of SQ5?
Full review on the SQ5 please!
So, you didn't have the balls to leave your Matt Farah article up, when you knew you'll meet him on a press event? Yeah, he just called you out on his podcast.
0-60s start at @2:40
is this car worth buying/ owning?
Almost all audis sound like elephants holding a fart in these days 😂🤣 except for TTRS, RS3 and R8.
so how much slower is the q5 3.0t?
I think the Macan is going to beat it. Bring this car back for a comparison when the Macan is available for testing.
What's the intro song guys!?
I like the SQ5 TDI but the TFSI engine should be a available in the uk
Great car
Figured that V6 would get better gas milage considering its a 6 cylinder. Guess the supercharger kills it, which makes it hover around V8 Territory.
No autohold?
Heres a question, is there any performance SUV's under 30k with awd that beat this car? I can't find any. Maybe a 2012 Jeep GC SRT8 but they have reliability issues.
Thoughts?
For my money, I'd take the more beautiful s5
The SQ5 comes with a 3.0 BiTDI which produces around 300 hp but 650 pound feet of torque and it makes an awesome v8 burble so once again the Americans aren't so lucky...
(In europe*)
1:22 I thought he was going to say "BMW"
Some shit this guy pulled on Matt Farah......
1 or 2 sec more to 60 really does not matter in the real world. 30 to 70, 40 to 70, seems more relevant......but yes, sure, this is a lot of fun.....
If I could afford an Audi Q5, I'd prefer the diesel. No disrespect to the SQ5.
how about testing q7 tdi
"Who would've thunk?"
Most cars disappoint me today. Just build a car I don't have to babysit that isn't a stripped down like a KIA or Hyundai. Also, wtf is up with cars today being stupid expensive for shit quality... Evoque.

GLA is much smaller and lighter.

That's a lot.
Strictly in the looks department, Audi should have made this thing a bit more aggressive. Not really feeling the ugly wheels and blah front end.
You must not know, most Audi S's are sleeper sports cars that look subtle but are quite quick. Its all part of the fun and adds to the stealth factor. If you want designs that are flashier, then RS is for you.
NikoBell12
Still doesnt explain the ugly wheels and the blah front end
NikoBell12
Or the use of VW switchgear and vents!
This car looks boring on 19" winter wheels. The 20" are better, and the 21" superb.
No it needs at least 26", bling bling...
AGAIN. It's thought, not thunk. But thought.
Don't drop that thun thun thunk.
let me ax you this, let me ax you this... Why u no thunk it?
lol, I would have thought that the SQ5 would be slower than the S5 because it's an SUV and SUV's are less aerodynamic. It really surprised me :)
Aerodynamics doesn't matter at 60 mph.
lfsracer79 Are you kidding me? Just picture a large piece of cardboard
and yourself running at a speed of 60mph.
The force exercised on the cardboard by the air would be clear in the timing it would take for you to get to 60mph if you were you were holding it or not.
True but his statement as it is doesnt make any sense. :)
If you had turned TRACTION control off instead of CLIMATE control off maybe 0-60 times would be better hahaha just busting your balls i like this channel a lot and love the sq5
$64000? Looks like a standard Q5
Not under the hood.
Oh, and it has minor details that the Q5 doesn't.
Sound like a chainsaw lol
it takes off like a scolded cat. lol
Scalded* lol
Again with the super elevator music!!!! OMG!
why is 0 - 60 so over rated....
i like it but isn't just another Volkswagen?
And Lamborghini ... and Porsche ... and Bentley.
No it's not jr...
