- I HIGHLY recommend Audiokit Super NESynth
Packing in ALL of the features from their previous Synth App releases - the excellent sequencer, on board effects and the true synthesis introduced in King of Bass, Audiokit developer Matthew Fecher's latest creation is one of the most compelling and just plain fun music production apps I’ve used for a long time.

Loving the Super Bintendo Barryo Kart Bacing backdrop.
😂😂😂
Your patches are awesome, they bring me back, way back. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
Great demos and presets! It's always a good day when AudioKit releases a new synth app. I called it the Super Bintendo as a kid but recently I've heard it pronounced phonetically, snez.
It’ll always be ‘Snez’ to me! 😁
Audiokit are must buys for me, especially at this price. Never had a SNES but heard the presets earlier and they're amazing. Instantly spotted a Monkey Island one (which I don't think was on SNES) and you're more likely to get GnR after you for one of your presets.
I made a point of putting a warning in that presets info box for other RUclipsrs who might accidentally play it for more than a few seconds 😅. Audiokit are on a crazy winning streak with their apps right now!
Thanks for this, Patrick! Have snaffled, even though I was never much into Nintendo. When my wife and I got married, the best gift we got was a Sega Mega-Drive, which we took on our honeymoon! ;) Fun honeymoon! 🦑❤️😀 I should add that my wife was *just as much* a gamer as I was/am! :)
Thanks for your great reviews, Patrick, I need a great DX7 (esp electronic piano sounds). have I missed a review? or do you or any other subscribers have suggestions? Thanks a billion.
King of FM is what you need! Patrick has a review
Will this work with Logic Pro? [iPad]
Yes, absolutely!
@@TheGaragebandGuide well this is embarrassing….
Purchased the Bintendo soundalike app, and the Bass and D1 apps got purchased too…. 😉. I’m in for an AudioKit ‘session’ tonight… hope Pornhub can cope without me.
I was also confused because this app was on the GarageBand channel and clearly if it worked w Logic it would be on Logic channel instead j/k 😂😂😂
Haha yes indeed it will. It's a standalone or auv3 so it'll work with any iOS DAW that accepts plugins of the sort (loopy pro user here. Confirmed working as of yesterday when I stumbled across it's release completely by accident and I let out a yelp [especially with the sale price])
Why would sampling be illegal? Companies cannot have a copyright, trademark or patent on how something sounds.
They can only have that on the technology to make that and the music itself, or when the piece of music is very obvious copied and recognizable from something. Like a (piece) of a melody or beat. A single note or an extremely brief sound sample isn't, this is called "de minimis". (look it up, I can't share links unfortunately)
I know, but Nintendo are REALLY bad for shutting down anything that they think infringes on their copyrighted stuff.
As far as I know, Sega have been very cool about AudioKit’s other video game themed app, Saga Synth.
This looks to be an AMAZING retro sketchpad for $3, but the presets don't really remind me of SNES.
The basic presets are incredibly close to some SNES games. The Zelda ones in particular are spot on. You really can’t go wrong at that price point, can you?
I'm thankful for this comment if the lawyers come knocking 😂
@@analogmatthew 😂Thanks as always for the great work, Matthew!
Fantastic sounding app, but as always with AudioKit the sequencer never triggers properly when recording.
Still worth every penny, but so frustrating.
I didn’t notice an issue - worth feeding back to the developer as he is usually super responsive.
Never had this problem, anyone else had this issue? Maybe you have a weird bug?
@@HankHillspimphand it happens in all my AudioKit apps. The sequence never triggers at the start of the sequence - always just after it.
I was advised to try and trigger the sequencer one beat before it should start but that’s just a workaround, and completely unwieldy.
It’s the same on all four of my iPads, and doesn’t happen in any other app that I use for sequencing.
@@TheOverlordOfProcrastination I would record a short video and send it to Matthew. If he can see and recreate the issue he would likely patch it. It might be a DAW specific thing too.
@@mobypixel yes I was thinking of doing just that. Hitting notes on the keyboard when I’m not recording is no problem and it works nicely, but the moment I hit the red record button it triggers improperly or at the very least in a different way to simply playing without recording. Same in the Sega app, too.
