I bought waves vocal bender about a year ago, and now use pitch munk exclusively. I can’t speak to how it compares to Little alter boy, but it’s super clean. Waves vocal bender doesn’t work well on anything but vocals, but pitch munk works really well on almost everything.

#5 The Masker at 5:45 It is funny that it is called the masker because technically it is used on things that are already "masked." Ideally the spund difference you hear should be minimal if used on truely two teacks that are masking each other already. What it DOES give you is that it gives you back a lot of wasted headroom. I wouldnt use to necesarily to mix raw. But if you hear to much of a difference after using it there is more you can do prior. The best way to use it is to where you dont hear a difference, but you are getting more headroom on the bus/master.
Couple important things to note about visco: 1. It's technically not free. It has an infinite, fully featured free trial with a message every time you open it, so it's more like nagware. 2. Viaco is NOT a sampler! It actually resynthesizes whatever sound you put into it (kinda like synthplant 2).

I would have buyed Visco already, if you could switch the X and Y axis. I want to have time on the X axis going from left to right and frequency on the y axis (low frequencies on the bottom and high frequencies on top). As soon as they implement that I'll buy it.

Visco is just a fully functional Demo. So you can call it "free" but it's not freeware in the traditional way.
