      thanks for putting up the subtitles prompt, a lot of youtube channels forget to do that! and many do not realise they need to turn on the subtitles to see it in their language. Looks like a very tasty meal, my only suggestion for better visual appeal is: put a small spray of whatever fresh herb you use, in this case parseley, nicely placed near the centre. Even a nasturtium flower with the green herb can add greatly to the ''look'' as well as the aroma, etc of such a good meal. Many old fashioned garden flowers like wild nasturtiums are edible, and so are most herb flowers too!

    I'm from Houston, Texas and I enjoy your recipes. Don't listen to any of these the Debbie downers on here. Keep doing you, because that's what makes it so good. Too many of my fellow Americans are being brainwashed into thinking plant based, non- dairy is best for them. We survived without that crap for many years and we're still here. Besides with food shortages on the horizon no ones going to have time for all that. I bet they'll eat what they'll have to eat to survive. Until then keep those delicious recipes coming, good day! 👍

      Advice. Use 90% of the broccoli.
      Leave the potato peels on that’s where the vitamins minerals and flavor is.

      yes Bob! i also cook potatoes in their peel, much goodness is in the skin which is here thrown away. Steaming the broccoli also retains many more nutrients than boiling. For me, this is brain food! nobody wants to get dementia, and the best way is by maximising nutrition any way you can :)

      The potato skins is where the nutrients and most importantly the fiber is. Potatoes are a beautiful veg. I eat them with baby kale and super greens. I’ve never been so regular, bathroom wise, since changing to a WFPB diet.

    • @Pearlylove
      @Pearlylove Год назад +2

      Only reason for peeling vegetables is the high levels of pollution and pesticides, from the earth, air, and also the rain. Some decades ago there was no need, and you’re right, so much nutrients are in the peel, so it’s sad our food is not clean. That’s why we also should take vitamin supplements, because food today is not as healthy as it once was. We only think money, not health.. But this dish surly looks healthy and delicious, so I will try this!

    I´m new to vegetable gardening, ( I have fruit trees) and I'm growing potatoes, broccoli and onions, along with a few other veg in the foothills of the Spanish Sierra Nevada. Many thanks for the inspiration regarding how to cook them.
    Personally I will steam the broccoli because when it is boiled, a lot of the goodness is thrown away with the water. The potato cakes will go well with my usual salad of roasted pumpkin seeds, lettuce, tomato, onion and feta cheese, with a simple dressing of lemon juice and olive oil. I get the best oil here, it comes in something like an old beer bottle without a label, likewise I get honey in a recycled jar with no label either -- I like it that way.

    It looks a very tasty and delicious menu. However I felt you threw away the most nutritious part of the broccoli, which contains vitamin C.
    Also too much salt, if you added salt to both the broccoli and the potatoes, was it necessary to add garlic salt? However I shall certainly try your menu.
    Thank you immensely.
