- A major lake effect snow event hit the Buffalo metro area and immediate southtowns from Jan 13-18th, 2024. Between the 2 separate events the hardest hit areas received more than 80" of snow! The first event latest Jan 13-15th and the second event was from Jan 16-18. In between both of these events the Buffalo Bills game was moved from Jan 14th to the 15th due to the intense lake effect snow band. #buffalo #winter #snow #timelapse #snowstorm #lakeeffect

What would life be like without a snowblower😮
Everyone from the family would be out there shoveling, and then other families would come over and help other families who haven't finished or elderly that couldn't do it themselves to shovel.
I mean people still do that today, not everyone can afford a snow blower.

I used to live in Syracuse NY and thats 2.5 hours. Experienced this before. Most of us now need to park outside because we neex space for snowblowers lawn mower maybe bikes and snowmobiles are in the garage. Depends really. So that cam owner may have lot of stuff in tge garage or it is now a mancave. I live in South Carolina and I laugh at people here they closed schools for a simple thunderstorm! Yes 2 or 3 times in one week 2 weeks ago. Crazy!

Ok that was fun to watch. Think I saw Benny streak by but not sure. Don’t you wish snowblowing went that fast. I love being in snow too. But to be honest I have lived in the southwest desert for over to years😂

Holy...that's a lot of snow😳 and they say Canada is bad for that😂
Canada does get a lot of snow, but Buffalo is consistently ranked yearly in the top 10 snowiest cities in the world because of lake effect snow coming off of Lake Erie.
