You have summed up whole courses in 20 minutes, thanks res
I don't even play metal, but there's still slot of good information here
Airwindows FTW!!!
Great mix and very cool of you to do your breakdowns!
super happy that i found this. it would be nice if there were live from production streams also looking into your though process
@@josephperkins-z7n thanks. Not sure how I'd explain the writing process honestly.
Let it rip, maestro! Now you have me waiting for the next demo collection, and I have a long wait. 😱 I love the synth pads in the mix to give it more depth, it's just a nice touch that works. And we get a new IR on top of the tune and rundown? Holy cow, it's like Christmas time in June. Thanks for all the goodies and explanation, you have the best channel for metal! 👑🎸🔥
Thanks Shardz!
Cool dude, this Deimos is really cool! Those drums are great too!
Absolutely sick man! I love how you write riffs.
HELL YEAH! the heaviest mix so far!
Love it that you created a modern mix and did a mix breakdown. It is true that the drums are the most important factor whether a mix sounds modern or more old-school. Maybe the Deimos wil replace lecto which is still my favorite amp sim (since your demo two years ago)
This sounds awesome! Especially drums are super punchy. Actually fun fact I've been using your mix templates since 2021 as a foundation for my own mixes 😂
I just discovered Panda Sound thanks to you, you rule dude !
@@kalmath_ cheers for watching!
Sounds massive dude , fantastic work as always \m/
This is gold!
Very Fear factory inspired I think. Which is cool in my book. Great tune bro
Thanks so much for the mix breakdown. I just remembered I had downloaded some Panda Sound samples and they really do sound great for that massive modern metal sound. Cheers!
Your all free impulses so sick man, i like it, thanks for so good free product 🤘😃👍
Awsome mix. Dude.
Thank you brother, with your guides I got my favorite ringtone taking into account that I also have paid amp sims this is from now on my favorite lml
Really helpful video dude, Cheers! 👍
No problem chug.
Brutal!
metal knowledge man cheers
This was awesome! Im also really interested in how you program your drums.
Im have a hard time making my drums interesting
Immediate like!
I really should actually use Deimos, since i downloaded it last week. I've just been all about the Purple Nightmare amp sim on the STL Tonality Lasse Lammert suite recently. I got the plugin when it came out, but only really used the modded JCM 800 on it for the longest time.
NewOldDude!!!!
Wow awesome drum sound! So you're not blending the normal drum kit with the samples, this is just the sample kit on its own? I also download that epic plate reverb recently along with the epic clouds. Awesome plugins! Great video btw thanks for sharing 🤘🏼
Cheers! Yeah it's just the panda sound, arcane hate kit.
Dude awesome riffs as always your m8x templet has been the base for my mixes since I found out about it! Will you be releasing an updated version of your reaper template? I'm curious to know if you have a different preference drum vst since perfect drums is no more.
That free one I did last year is still what I'd recommend. Not just free but simple straight forward etc. Thanks much appreciated dude.
bro. your sounds sound massive.
Thanks!
Man i love your approach to providing us with real high quality irs amp sims , plugins etc, i have a question, your eq curve has that low mid dip in it, why then use multi compression on the palm mutes when the cut at low mids are already done?
Good question. I thought the same for years but noticed it still blooms even when cut there. Cheers!
@@resington i do the same, i think its like you said, theres still a cluster there and multi band just puts it to rest
17:34 - For editing i use stretch markers. In my opinion it's better and faster and more correctly. You you should try this method. There are two ways: manually and automatic markers.
p.s. - RUclips - how to use stretch markers in reaper😅
I will have to check that out cheers!
FANTASTIC WORK! What monitors or/and headphones are you using?
Thanks. Cheap M audios and cheap sony wireless ear buds.
@@resington Could you please describe the exact model of monitors and headphones? Your mixes sound fantastic and I wish mine sounded similar :)
This was great, huge thanks! One question, do you use Toontrack EZ/Superior drummer for any of your productions? Or maybe you have set your style and sound and prefer to do the midi programming manually?
Cheers. I don't and I program all midi from scratch.
@@resington Cool! The drums sounds great. I will try Perfect Drums Player and the free Panda Sounds sample pack. I've paid hundreds of dollar for EZdrummer add-ons, they're great, but option paralysis really is a thing. Trying to get back to basics now 😀
Did you do pre fader pre fx for the parallel processing on the bass?
i need this template PLEASE
Copy the settings! Haha, might make a template soon.
@@resington i would be absolutely THRILLED if you made a free template that sounds just like this. you totally nailed the mix, my dude. great work
@@hollowake233 Can't be done because these drums are premium.
@@resington i mean i got plenty of drum vsts, i just want those tones and mix!!
A person’s guitar pickups will still matter. What pickups are you using?
EMG Retro Actives here.
@@resington I’ll have to check those out! I’ve had a 81/85 setup, as well as Blackouts and I think “Deactivator”s? Been many years, 15? so I know there’s some new stuff out there
@@JesseQuinn watch my Amarok review video because these pickups have some quirks.
@@resington Thanks
No playthrough?
@@Shane-zo4mg no sorry.
