Respect Sir. I have a quick question ❓ I mixed my vocals base on the sweet spot -18dbs or 0dbvu. However, the vocals are way louder than the beat I exported from FL which careful use FL meters to available distortion and clippings. How can I balance and blend both sounds together without loosing any quality. Thanking you in advance
If it were me personally I would use a limiter on the beat and leave the vocal as is. But it really depends on if you want the vocal more in the forefront of your track or if you want your best to stand out more.
The visual comparison of the waveforms vs the sound resulting is why I always recommend spectral imaging (for instance, in FL studio, use Wave Candy). Binary coloured waveforma (unless there are multiple waveforms showing various aspects) really annoy me. And have a good day.
