    true that as long as you have the knowledge about the plugin that u use it will do the job very well, but there is a different sound flavour to some plugins but thats pure preference.

      That's definitely the underlying message here - if you know what you're doing, it does't matter what you use and this video is proof.
      Some creators, especially early on, really complicate things and think they need plugin X, Y, Z but the truth is much simpler.
      Hopefully this inspires folks to tinker with what's available to them and of course adjust these plugins to their own tastes and use-cases.

      @@nurusenpaifor sure!
      The truth is when I mix a song, I’m just making decisions in that moment. If I were to revisit it/start over like I did here, the general approach may be the same more or less but my tastes in that moment will have changed (as would anyones) and therefore produce a similar yet still different result 👀
      I think that’s why many struggle to “finish” mixes - they just can’t walk away and feel satisfied. I pretty much never do either, I just do the best I can with what I know and feel at the time until I reach a deadline for the client and it’s in the “most listenable” state - otherwise, lord knows if any of my mixes would ever be “finished” 😂

    Do I need to still register my songs for copyright safety (music copyright plus lyrics copyrights), with Distrokid?

    • @5piece
      @5piece  4 месяца назад +2

      Technically a song is copy-written the moment its been created. Registering it is more of a formality. I know tons of award winning engineers/produceres/writers that do not formally copyright anything.
      I'm not a legal expert so I'd recommend you consult a lawyer above all - but I'd imagine (and could be wrong) that as long as you can prove you created a piece of work at a specific time (ie you have DAW files with time stamps AKA date created, date modified) and proper documentation, then you have evidence that you are the main copyright owner and creator of the work. Just my two cents. Hope this helps.
