As a naturally quiet person I want to emphasize the importance of balance. Being quiet is great for listening and lessening regret but refusing to speak up also creates regret. Know when to speak and when to remain silent and utilize that knowledge to succeed.
Totally agree that balance is key
The key thing he says in this is “you can use silence to APPEAR more powerful. Silence is a fear tactic and draws attention to yourself. Whether that’s negative or positive, you still draw attention when you don’t speak. A lot of people including myself never realized just how powerful it is. It can cause people to overthink. Silence is a great tool when negotiating, I've learned that silence allows you to watch people better, and see their true intentions, once I realize a persons true intentions then I speak up, that way two scenarios will happen. First, they will feel that you have the upper hand and what they have to offer cannot compete. Second, you allow them to discredit you therefore allowing them to make the decision you already were aware of. Conclusion, make sure you are confident when negotiating, and that you can back up your claims with evidence. Take Care.

Something I've noticed about being naturally quiet is that I can easily learn who actually wants to hear my thoughts on something. There are people who notice your silence and will ask you your opinion. I always like talking to those people, if sincere, because they have shown observation and interest in the real me.
Thanks for sharing
Yes, Thank You. You really gave me something to think about.
This
This is it right here
If sincere is the key phrase because some people want to know so bad the thoughts of a quiet or silent person that they will pretend to be sincere just to get the quiet or silent person to share their thoughts and more. Also, being silent is powerful because it causes those with evil intentions to feel guilty, to worry and feel insecure
There’s a time to be silent, and a time to speak.
I agree

I have been quite around people I don’t know very well all my life and I’m pretty sure it’s because of anxiety. This made me feel a lot better about myself. After watching this video I can try and be less anxious but I can still be quite just can’t be nervous

I will make sure to follow these advices. I bought the 48 laws of power by Robert Greene and I'm currently reading it. I acknowledge that I possess a lot more information and skills than most people. And talking about many things can often make me look like a "know-it-all" or an "arrogant" person. And it doesn't benefit neither me, nor the people I talk to. As a wise man once said: "If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room". We should speak selectively, some ideas should not be shared with everyone (due to a variety of reasons). Instead we should remain silent until we find the right person to talk to about an idea or opinion. I must improve the way I communicate and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Overall, excellent video, it will certainly help many people.
Thanks you. You got this
I used to talk a lot and it seemed that people respected me less. Now that I am older and wiser, I tend to think deeply and talk less. It is amazing how much more respect I seem to get and people take my advice and comments much more seriously. Great video.

@David K. Familiarity breeds contempt
How old are you ? It will be interesting to know at what age people are growing up
Currently having this problem, age 25 here. No matter if what I say is of benefit or is true, no matter my intentions to share and debate I tend to eventually rub people the wrong way
People take all kinds of liberties with me. They often say to me “you’re so quiet” when all I’m doing is sitting there minding my business. I wouldn’t dream of saying “you talk so much” to a person (just like they say “you’re so skinny” and I couldn’t imagine saying “you’re so fat” to anybody.) When you’re naturally observant and you simply quietly take life in, it’s really amazing the things people feel very free to say.
