I really like how in this series the background music uses music from the series of the speaker's main. For example, Donkey Kong music for Tweek because he mains Diddy Kong, Zelda music for VoiD because he mains Sheik, etc. Nice touch.
something I'd like to see would be two top players watching a set they were both in to get the idea of what they were both thinking in certain situations. For example Tweek and Leo BOTH analysing evo 2019 grands

Tweek talked a lot about Diddy's specifics, which should inspire everyone to look at their characters the same way! Knowing your mains' arsenals is crucial.
Moreover, using Diddy to explain ledgetrapping is just perfect considering he has very advanced tools for that, giving you an idea of the maximum potential of this concept.
You have to shout "LEDGE TRAPPING" when ledge trapping. And if you verbally say what you expect your opponent to do it will always work. I don't make the rules.
Hey, saying what you're going to do, supposedly, or telling someone what to do in very intense or stressful situations is also a way to condition your opponent after all.
the goal is to internalise them and the best way to do that is pick one situation and consciously apply something from this video, after you do that even just a few times the idea will be much easier to recall and practice and you can move onto the next technique. This way internalising everything will be much faster than if you tried to do all of it at once.
@@yawns3004 I disagree, we had Izaw making guides, the beefy smash doods made some of the best smash content ever made back then (they don't want to redo everything for ultimate but their videos on reaction time and delayed follow ups are still very relevant and I haven't seen it covered since). My smash corner made some good videos as well. Character guides have always been a thing, same in smash 4. Exactly what content creators did we miss in the smash 4 era?
This video is really polished and it shows. The segment from Void really broke it down, and the segment from Tweek was very condensed and very informational. I’ll need to watch that part again. Love this series!
This video was the best, thank you so much, the Void part being my favorite, as a MK main I know my edge guarding is fantastic but *I ALWAY MISS SPACE MY ATTACKS* but his advice was fantastic and I'll they to implement it into my gameplay, for Tweek and Mkleos advise I don't know, MK is kinda restricted in those regards. *MK STILL B META THO*
When tweek talk about the peanut that forces you to choose a time to get up, it honestly made me think. Sephiroth has no such weakness with all his ledge stall options.
Something I believe is really important that a lot of people ought to consider is that part of the reason why juggling is so strong in Smash Ultimate is because almost every character's down air in the game will most likely get beaten out by an up air. This because of two things; most down airs dont actually cover much space below you, or lack significant reach or disjoints. The other reason is because a lot of down airs have long startup animations. Usually either one of these or both are true, with only a few exceptions such as Game & Watch and Maybe Cloud, but these moves can also be played around. (Cloud in particular has had a major reach nerf since Smash 4)
4:30 || “I want to be near my opponent so that I can *react* if they try to use an option” ; proceeds to show a clip of a Sheik shadowing Lucina downwards offstage and DJ’ing literally *4 frames* after Lucina.
now this is the episode I needed edit: wait, I need to work on my own disadvantage, not my opponent's, this isn't really what I expected edit edit: I tend to neglect ledgetrapping so I guess it's still as useful as I'd hoped
Wolf (when he's edge guarding) can actually buffer Full Hop Laser to cover high, then immediately Nair to cover mid and low, then Jump, Side B/Up B (depending on how far you drift out) back to stage.
13:50 my only gripe with this definition is when he says beating 'every single' landing option. I get the idea he's going for but that could mislead some people since come characters' anti air options can be a bit strict with the timing or the spacing
Characters that can escape disadvantage would be the ones that can recover the best, so characters like Pikachu have slight disadvantage when it would be worse for other characters; and neutral changes for every character; pikachu is also good in neutral with T-jolt and ariels. The best neutral is when you can hit your opponent and they cant hit you, say with projectiles or a disjointed hitbox like a sword. Hope this helps put things in perspective. Good Characters: Joker, Pikachu, Roy, Snake, Young Link/Link. I personally recommend Ike for learning spacing and controlling space in neutral because if he whiffs you get pinished so it teaches you how to be percise and to make good decisions.

Joker is a really bad juggler so u gotta be very careful with over extending and waiting for an option it’s definitely smth I should just do more even tho it’s obvious thanks lol
When you do the short hop drag down up airs as joker, do you use the auto short hop or input the short hop yourself? Anyone let me know what they do plz
You can't use the auto short hop macro (jump + attack + direction), for most drag downs this is the case because you need the fast falling which is only possible after reaching max height of the jump. Good way to do it is jump, wait a little bit and then input the aerial and the fast fall in close (but not immediate) succession. Practice it a bit in training mode and get a feel for it and you should be good
@@Bladieblah thanks I started doing what you said and its been alot easier. The reason I started out doing auto short hops is cause I thought I wouldn't be able to do a short hop in the middle of a combo but after a little I got it down so thanks.
