I love it when we get an opportunity to see these vids uploaded and created. Never realized Joe Lewis was so tall. Ease the tallest person around

I imagine a 6’2”, 200 pound man in the 1940s was bigger and taller than just about every person around. He’d be considered small for a heavyweight now but certainly not back then.

@@charlesbeal8066 6 ft 2 in is still tall in most cultures within guys. But in the Giants of today's heavyweight division, he would definitely be considered smaller by far. The Olympics have super heavyweight division. I'm actually in favor of creating a super heavyweight division within pros. Since Lennox Lewis and then the Klitsco Brothers, heavyweights have really become giants. Most people say no no more new weight divisions but I just think it would be obvious the heavyweights are going to continue to be taller and stronger. Usyk would probably be the same size as Joe Lewis I guess...

I wish he should have just stayed retired.

I think he was definitely in financial problems but I think the government kind of did him wrong. He went over in WW2 and was enlisted. He fought exhibition matches for soldiers. The problem is IRS came after him for one thing. I've always felt this was just wrong in his case. I feel like they should have made some sort of exception or at least cut him some slack on back taxes. From what I understand until late in his life he was trying his best to still just live financially. He was signing photos in Vegas. I think he was the greeter at a couple Vegas hot spots back in the day. He wasn't trying to avoid a tax bill and he was trying to do the right thing from what I understand. I am a strong believer in professional athletes having some sort of mandatory 401K type retirement program. I'm also a believer that some sort of health insurance should be involved with pros of all sports. That's just my belief and it's really based off people like Joe Louis.
