Good video!
Your contents are awsome!
Thank you!
That's not a lie
Good job!

Why did part of florida turn red at aroumd 1:35? I cannot find anything about that online?
It's supposed to mean that the U.S supported Castro, so in this case the U.S supported both sides.
Hey,if you get this Comment,I wanted to ask if you're will do A Video about the Ethiopian Revolution of 1976 if you have some time for it because there are no Mapping Videos about it
I'll likely do the Ethiopian Civil War along with the ongoing conflicts as well.
Epique
Came here after listening to Blowback season 2.
It's kind of strange that the Cuban revolution isn't referred to as the Cuban Civil War
Yeah
There’s a difference between a revolution and a civil war.
It’s kinda complicated but I’ll try to explain.
Now, In most cases, a civil war can only happen after a revolution. (That’s not always the case).
Ok, I have an idea, I’ll use America as an example.
The United States has a revolution against the original government (the British Empire) and won their revolution, then the American rebels were established as the new government.
Then, later on, the American government had a split, between the northern republicans and the southern democrats.
That was a civil war.
Actually, no, now I think about it, that was a shitty example.
Cuba actually did the same thing, they had a war of independence against Spain, then they did this war decades later.
Oh shit bro, you might be right.
Well, in a civil war, usually it's the citizens or two governments in the same country that fight against each other (just like in the American Civil War) while in a revolution, it's usually a certain group, independent from the citizens, that fights against the government
It was a revolution.

Great one, the other Cuban Revolution videos were confusing. Also Miami appears to be the most modernly wartorn city of America, first the 26th of July movement, then the Miami Drug War from the late 70s.
Who even fought for the Batista regime lmfao, even Kennedy didn’t support him. Cuba’s old government make the new one considered a good one
Kinda a trick considering Kennedy wasn't president until 1961.
The Current Government of Cuba is good compared to almost any Government on the Planet

Can you make Chadian Civil War 2005-2010?
This was technically the original Chadian civil war. And the Chads won.

Why is Cuba shown occupying some of Florida?
Sorry if it's out of context but, can anyone explain me why in the video about the Islamic insurgency in the Maghreb there is a Grey area (meaning Al Qaeda affiliated group) in Gaddafi's Cyrenaica?
If you're curious about that there's an entire page about an Al-Qaeda-linked insurgency that was backed by Sudan, fighting occurred between Gaddafi and those insurgents which effectively lead to a stalemate but they became relevant again after they cut ties with Al-Qaeda and joined Libyan Rebels during the First Libyan Civil War.

You should try to do a alt history in if Vichy France entered the war on the side of the axis powers
The Annoying Gamer nothing major would change
Affentaktik you do realize Vichy France posses most of frances colonies including North Africa French Guiana the Caribbean colonies most of its Asian colonies and Madagascar and some islands in the Indian Ocean these territories still has substantial garrisons and would open a lot of new fronts in the war
The Annoying Gamer well not so much. The allies were already attacking most of them to be mote precise in north africa and the middle east. I highly doubt that the sahara would become a important front. Also vichy france was essentially a puppet state of Germany and germany could already use their ports. In the end the Soviet Union would still crush germany just as we know it
Affentaktik it wasn’t exactly a puppet state it was legitimately seen as the successor of the French third republic in fact the French senate voters on giving petain full powers and Vichy France could provide new man power for the Germans
@@TheAnnoyingGamer. Are you an idiot? They were basically already fighting for the axis. Not to mention their navy was crippled by the British navy in 1940 and their colonies they had little control over. Vichy france wouldnt have played much of a role

As a Cuban you disgust me
So that’s why Cuba’s stuck in the 60’s they just hit the pause button when they turned communist
Because if the US embargo
Cuba was far worse off under Batista's fascist dictatorship
For 1 I might want to point out to you that this comment is a year old and you are responding to it now? Secondly While more died under Batista’s regime the tyranny both brought upon Cuba cannot be ignored. We cannot blame just one of them for being authoritarian. Cuba is supporting terrorist organizations around the world and even if there was no U.S. embargo (which happened since the USSR set up nukes on Cuba) It’s very unlikely they would buy anything from the U.S.
@@redacted2354 Its not any embargos fault. USA isnt the only country in the world that trades.
@@oliverb.8995 America doesn't allow ships that trade with Cuba to be in it's ports for some time, so those who trade, will choose America over Cuba because of a larger market, also American banks can interfere if the people trading with Cuba uses one of them. Damn... Batista was a good dude

batista killed thousands and turned cuba into a police state from a democracy that it was previously.

Always one of the saddest revolutions. They just traded an evil despotic dictator for another despotic evil dictator but red instead.

Providing education, food, housing, healthcare, representation = bad
"Let's revolt against a mild dictatorship and change it for a more oppressive one" had Castro in his Mind.
@Revolutionary Man Venezuela Ruined itself WITHOUT EMBARGO from 2013 until 2018. When They put sanctions on Venezuela's government Venezuela was already ruined because of using Cuba's system.
Socialism NEVER WORKS.
@@vincenzorutigliano5435 Is that so? Then how did Venezuela flourish under Hugo Chavez? The problem is not socialism, it's dumbass Maduro who shouldn't have been president in the first place. The Cuban economy is certainly mismanaged, but the embargo only worsens the situation for the people.
"Socialism NEVER WORKS"
Except in the European countries that the Capitalists are fond of. Funny how we aren't embargoing socialist Scandinavia, or attempting to destabilize their government in order to install a US-friendly dictator, which is what ALWAYS happens in Latin America everytime the people rise up and depose their puppet governments.
You have a very surface-level understanding of history if you just want to blame socialism for geopolitical instability. So sorry that your capitalist masters have their plans exploded in their faces every time they try to control the entire world.
@@markos9531 Hugo Chavez was farly worse,bc it set the base of what Cuba is now. Criminalizing socialism and making so many people starving to death and expropiating businesses. When you cut people's fuel (dreams and ambition) anything works and everything goes wrong.
