It's nice to see the younger generation discover and appreciate such great music. ..darlin, there's a whole lot more out there. Enjoy your journey into the classic rock world...
Not sure the level of appreciation, don’t forget they are making videos ,they need to show excitement. She keeps wiping her eyes but there are no tears ,it’s a very exaggerated reaction and by the way this is not the first time she listens to the song .
I’m 65 and it’s not trash, it’s just written with a different beat, tune and melody. You and I may or may not like it but it’s not trash. Music reinvents itself all the time
Justin Hayward wrote this masterpiece in between classes while in college. He sat under the same tree for a total of 2 hours and during three classes and wrote this epic storyline. RIP Ray and Graeme....Enjoy these songs while you can. We are quickly losing the masters who wrote and performed them.
Thank you for not stopping the song, and let it play. I can see you were truly moved without saying a word and when you did you let the music continue.
I love the way you covered your mouth during the flute solo. I was around when this song came out (yes, I am that old.) It always gave me goose bumps. Thanks for your reaction.
The band just has that effect on people. Like so many others, our parents grew up with them, liked them and then we had the privilege to hear them when we grew up. Now we are fans ourselves (privileged to have seen them perform live nd with an orchestra). Now I have the honor of introducing them to my students. They are absolutely timeless.
Either she's a natural born actress or the lyrics........."Oh how I love you" or the flute solo....or both....just completely melted her, emotionally. good for her!
Young lady, watching you discover this song for the first time was a really beautiful thing. Do yourself a favor and listen to the original version. There is a poem that is not included in this version. I think you’d enjoy it very much. Seeing how this song made you feel brought me tremendous joy. Thank you.
The best concert experience of my 74 years was in 1992 when the Moody Blues appeared at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston (The Woodlands) with a 55-piece orchestra, and brought my kids with me. They had as much fun as I did, because, they grew up listening along with me, to all their albums.....an experience that will never be repeated.
This is about the fifth reaction to this song I've seen by younger women and I can give it to you down to the very note when they melt this song really has a power.
Very haunting gut wrenching song for those that understand the lyrics he is expressing. "Nights in white satin never reaching the end" is reference to the satin sheets she bought him just before she broke it off. "Letters I have written never meaning to send" With 20 versions sitting in the trash he never mails his letter to try and gain her back. Why? "Just what the truth is I can't say anymore" Did she ever really love him? "Gazing at people some hand in hand" seeing others in love only brings back the pain. "Just what I'm going through you can't understand" Unless you have had a broken heart you can't understand. I cry every time I hear this song. I wonder where she is how she is doing. Damn this song all to hell its so beautifully written yet so haunting.
It was played at my uncle's funeral. He was a true Flower Child of the 60s & 70s, a heroin addict and shot on the streets of Atlanta. He was lost, just like the song's heart wrenching theme.
Dam... 1967... i was 2 years Old (omg)... but i remember this feeling song when i was young, not only on radio, but by my mom Disc Vinyl !!! It was the peace flower time ans how to not appreciate this song ? 56 years after i have always chills... Thx dear, you make a good feeling reaction... Salute from France, keep & stay safe Girl (plus, you have a very beautiful little squeek in your voice, that so sweet...)
They were young men when they first performed/recorded this song and it’s just as epic as it was in my youth. Thank you so much for reviewing this song. I’m so glad that you enjoyed it. Keep up your fantastic reactions! I first was attracted to your channel when you reacted to Pentatonix. They are my all-time favorite and you will never go wrong reacting to their songs.
Can any other singer other that Justin Hayward say the words "I Love You" with any more profound meaning than in this song.I'm 66 years old and I still tear up with this song. I've seen the MB 5 times in concert and the 2001 at the Paul Mason Winery, Ca. I considered to be not one of, but the best in my life. With late teens on one side of me and my wife and an 80 year old on the other and we were all singing every word to every song. Dancing in the Aisle were the Ushers. A purely and truly multi generational band. A fan since 1975. You seemed so moved by the Flutist Ray Thomas who wrote many of their songs, here is one that reminds me of my late wife who passed away in 2009. Such a beautiful voice, ruclips.net/video/Yuf-jJJOEwA/видео.html "for my Lady" about finding your love after many trials in your life, and Justin's Hayward's (lead singer) "forever Autumn" , losing it and walking alone and missing the foot steps that used to disturbed the leaves beside you , ruclips.net/video/0K2b5S3bafM/видео.html .

R.I.P. Ray Thomas (flute) and Graeme Edge (drums) - you will be missed. Thank you Gracie for uploading your re-actions were adorable.
These Reactionaries seem to want to hear it over and over again, they are so into it. I can understand completely. A hauntingly beautiful song. And Justin was only 19 when he wrote it. Young love!
Beautiful heartfelt, emotional reaction Gracie!! Thank you so much for letting us share this experience with you!! Where has this music been hiding all of your life??? Justin Hayward indeed wrote and sang a masterpiece here! For more greatness from the Moody Blues please react to Tuesday Afternoon and The Question next!! And if you enjoyed hearing the flute in this song, and you certainly seemed to, I would like to recommend "Can't You See" from The Marshall Tucker Band and especially a live version from the late 190's of the band Jethro Tull doing "Locomotive Breath"!!! Continued great success to you with your excellent channel!!
I LOVE your reaction to one of the most iconic and timeless songs ever written. You’re beautiful smile showed your understanding of the true meaning of music. ❤
My first time hearing this song was in the mid 70's and from that point was and still is my favorite song. I've listened to it ten times in a row and I too tear up. I'm glad you enjoyed it too.
I have always loved this. The instruments, His voice and the way it makes me feel and i hate to admit that it also makes my eyes water every time. You are not alone. There other music is to me ok, But this one is special.
That was a beautiful reaction young lady. ❤️ I've heard this song many, many times and I still fall in love with it, and Justin Hayward everytime. You're right in your description of his voice as otherworldly. I could never find the word. You found it immediately. Very nice.
Greetings Gracie 🌹 Yes, you're not the only one who gets teary listening to this one. Two of the finest examples of "Symphony Rock" are this performance and the Live from Denmark performance of "Whiter Shade of Pale". Justin Hayward on guitar and lead vocals, John Lodge on bass and backup vocals, the late Ray Thomas (2018) on flute and backup vocals and the late Graham Edge (2021) on drums; contributing with poetic verses as well. Early founding member, Mike Pinder played the Mellotron (an electro-mechanical type of keyboard instrument), sang backup vocals and wrote some of the group's material as well. Pinder left the Moody Blues after the band recorded their Octave project in 1978 - right before the band was to go on tour for that album. Former Yes keyboard player, Patrick Moraz joined the group to replace Pinder, and played with them until 1991. Though he never did contribute to writing any of the band's material. Since then, the group has hired accompanying musicians whenever they toured. I believe this particular video was filmed at London's Royal Albert Music Hall. If you ever have the opportunity, you should listen to their album Days of Future Passed; which is their musical story of the events of an ordinary day. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on August 13,2018, seven months after the passing of Thomas. As Graham Edge would say . . . Keep on thinking free.

The song "Nights in White Satin" was originally released in 1968 by the Moody Blues. It was written by Justin Haywood who was new to the band at that time. This version was this version was performed 33 years later by The Moody Blues with Haywood as lead vocalist. It was awsome in 1968. It was awsome in 200 and it is awsome still.
They have been performing this song for 50 years! Members of the RRHOF. The lead singer Justin Hayward wrote this masterpiece in 1967 including the full orchestra part (also part of the original studio version) when he was 19-years-old. The Moody Blues have recorded many massive hits over many decades.🙂
I bought there first album on LP when it first came out. And every one since. Saw them live at Indianapolis, not sure of the year now, but can look it up. Just almost as good then though a rain and windstorm at this outdoor theater messed with us and we all had to take cover for a bit. They came back of and did a great job. Yes really really beauty Beauty song. I love your way to react. I would like that You react to i'm just a singer in a rock and roll band of moddie blues....please?

The song Forever Autumn by Justin Heywood ( he's the singer in this vid )is another good ballad. " My life will be forever autumn Cos you're not here " gives me goosebumps every time.
Forever Autumn is a great song I was going to recommend that she listen to as well. Another very underrated song by The Moody blues which is a great love song as New horizons. And another great love song by The Moody blues is Question.
Lovely reaction to an all time classic, thank you. I completely agree you should react to 'Forever Autumn' by Justin on his own. Also I think you would love both 'And You and I' and 'Turn of The Century' both by 'Yes'. You have to listen to the studio recordings first tho, not live for the first time 😊
For a 1968 song to have such a wonderful reaction from you just shows how good it is Another song from Justin you might like is Forever autumn his vice is fantastic
I strongly suggest listening to Forever Autumn by Justin Hayward. He is the same singer as in this song, just without the rest of the band. It's a very haunting and emotional song.
It so reminds me of my late wife of 30 years who passed away in 2009. The only girl I ever kissed, I married and still the only girl, for me. We loved going for very long (all day) nature walks on the coast and Redwoods in California. Her leaves lay undisturbed now.
@@MatthewPettyST1300 It reminds me of the girl I almost married. Her and I are friends now at this time, but she lives in Brazil and I live in Canada, so we see each infrequently, and because of certain things that happened, the relationship will never be the same. Not a death of a person in my case, but the death of how I saw that person, with only the memories of those leaves remain. I'm sorry for your loss, I hope the song remains a good memory for you.
I notice a lot of recommendations for "Forever Autumn" which, I concur, is a great song. I recommend you look up the album "Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the 'War of the Worlds'" on which it is included as part of the story. One of my all time favorite albums. It is a masterpiece, imho.
Please be sure to listen to the original version on the Days of Future Passed album. Justin recorded it when he was 19 and it will grab at your heart even more than this one did.
If you liked this one, run and react to "A Whiter Shade Of Pale", by Procol Harum, live in Denmark 2006. Also "Bridge Over Troubled Water", by Simon & Garfunkel

Her and I are friends now at this time, but she lives in Brazil and I live in Canada, so we see each infrequently, and because of certain things that happened, the relationship will never be the same. Not a death of a person in my case, but the death of how I saw that person, with only the memories of those leaves remain. I'm sorry for your loss, I hope the song remains a good memory for you.
i wish you and all your family and friends a happy Christmas and a healthy and happy new year
me too Gracie, me too
I notice a lot of recommendations for "Forever Autumn" which, I concur, is a great song. I recommend you look up the album "Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the 'War of the Worlds'" on which it is included as part of the story. One of my all time favorite albums. It is a masterpiece, imho.
Thank you 😘
Beautiful, Gracie...chilling song, love it.
Are you from Nigeria 🇳🇬
Yes 😁
And you?
@@GracieReacts my wife is Nigerian (igbo)
🥰
Please be sure to listen to the original version on the Days of Future Passed album. Justin recorded it when he was 19 and it will grab at your heart even more than this one did.
Feel sorry for you kids, grew up with trash for music... glad to see you've found something real.
Fabulous
Procul Harum .....Whiter Shade of Pale Denmark 2004 ... every bit as great
If you liked this one, run and react to "A Whiter Shade Of Pale", by Procol Harum, live in Denmark 2006.
Also "Bridge Over Troubled Water", by Simon & Garfunkel
Thank you
You are just sooo much fun ! Your new hair is rockin' too.
