Nailed the classic design. Old DK County had a creepy yet comfy vibe of cartoony mixed with realistic textures.
Except all of the art direction had been abandoned for realism. This content is so vapid it'd be hard to call it anything besides plain, ordinary, asset flippy. Its better than i can do but im a dumbass when it comes to 3d rendering. This is just a minimal effort rehash.
@@garfoonga1I don't think so. I also hate when people do "LOOK IT'S OLD THING BUT REALISTIC", but i feel like this nailed the visual design of the game, it's almost like the pre rendered backgrounds if they were hi-res.

😍I've always LOVED the looks of Lake Orangatanga. It reminds me of some parts of Maine.
I never understood why DKC 3 wasn't appreciated compared to the other games of the trilogy, its atmosphere is so chill !!
I recently replayed the trilogy and finally completed them all with all coins, etc.
I've grown to like the music and game design elements much more than when I was younger for DKC3, but I think the visual design for the enemies just doesn't look at good as the first 2 games.
I do appreciate that the game is significantly easier to find most secrets compared to the first 2.
edit: the final boss in DKC3 was extremely boring and tedious. DKC2 had the best one because there was more choice in the dodging/timing decisions.
@@ThePharphisTotally agree with your points. I think people hate dkc3 because diddy and dk are gone, the music isn't made by david wise therefore it's bad, some aspects are boring compared to the previous titles, like some level themes and the enemy design, and most importantly, kiddy kong exists, but in my opinion, dkc3 perfected the dkc formula. Too bad there wasn't fourth game on the n64 or something.
@@Blankult ya I didn't like playing as kiddy at all. In fact, I didn't even know he had the ability to bounce on water (and I forgot you could ride steel barrels) until I was looking for the last couple of coins and needed to look it up. Only one coin required this ability.
Same for breaking the floor. Interesting, but basically pointless for the game. There were probably some secrets I missed but none crucial for beating the game completely.

All three indeed have defaults and qualities.
In my case, i moderately liked the final boss of the third dkc, i prefer the second one, because more inspired and more difficult.

I really like the music of DKC3 (although not as much as that of DKC2).
And playing Kiddy didn't seem unpleasant to me, but I still prefer Donkey Kong anyway !

I'm saying everything that's been said before, and I'm proud.
These environments are incredibly uncanny to their original renders, and they've been expanded greatly to accomodate an actual functional game somehow.
I'm in disbelief, what a dreamlike experience, you've outdone yourself in this project and I'm very looking forward to more.

You surely can bet I will watch all your videos when I wake up, like if they were the best announced Series of all time and after that I wil play the game over and over. amazing, really amazing. The DETAILS, man. I dont know why the original devs put an ice level so early in the game, it's very difficult to blend that part with the rest of the area.
@@pablofmc yes, It was difficult to blend since is a small area it looks a bit off but thats how they did it so I wanted to keep it as close to the actual map as possible. I also had actual snow falling too but it was glitching the game.

Beautiful, this was always my favorite of the country series, my older cousins had a super nintendo that I would play when I came over to their house and I fondly remember this game
This is absolutely stellar. DKC3 is my favorite in the series, and I 103% it every year. The Pacific Northwest atmosphere is unparalleled compared to the other games. Great work!

It's my favorite too by a slim margin. The world is really immersive and feels like a real place, as opposed to the random mish-mash of environments in DKC2. I only wish that David Wise did the whole soundtrack. Also Kiddy Kong is everyone's least favorite Kong, but that doesn't affect the gameplay--he's just DK with a different skin.
@@colin8802 Dixie and Kiddy are my favorite, I know a lot of people don't like Kiddy Kong because he shows the same skills as DK and diddy kong and his design and the way he cries, but he still an ok character I just wish people and rare will give this character a chance to redeem himself

I've known people who've played this game so maby times that they let off the worst energy playing this game again. Me? I love the beautiful video!!! I still have found childhood memories problem solving this game.
Interesting how most Donkey Kong games at least originate in a tropical rainforest but this game appears to be set in Montana.
2:56 - DKC2's "Swanky's Swing" is actually much more epic than DKC3's "Swanky's sideshow theme"
@@educosta_89 I agree, but lots of viewers are confused why I made the switch, it was to keep all 6 or 7 Swanky tents different, so the next area will have Swanky's sideshow theme with a different interior.

Hopefully Nintendo does a remaster of the dkc trilogy games in 2.5 HD or HD . Dkc 2 is my favorite in the trilogy but I'll give dkc3 credit for the map designs and how they affected the levels . Still this is cool to see , I miss the 90s so much it truly was the best decade.

What I liked about each game when I first played them was that each one was more difficult and challenging than the previous one. When I got to the 3rd game I was so excited to play the hardest levels.

It's a shame that Nintendo is shittin out useless remakes left and right that really dont need to be remade yet, but are neglecting the game series that made them who they are today.
