I don't care what anybody says 1990-1992 were by far THE BEST years on the runway, maybe because it was the height of the supermodel craze, but Thierry Mugler, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Azzedine Alaia and Versace had the best collections and the best shows.
I miss the style and glamour of 1990's catwalk. The models were so much more stylish and had something to offer than today. Nadia, Shalom, Amber, Kristen, Erin and the rest. They are so young and wooden these days. Bring back the style :)

Thierry Mugler is my favorite designer, of course there are others that i love like Gabriel and Karl but Thierry, he was truly something else
still glamorous to the enth degree and still classic Designs that nourish the eyes for the style and the technicality of its creation. Incredible that after all these years most of these looks are viable and wearable. bravo!!!!!!
He evolved, quite quickly really, a way of combining extreme glamour from the previous hundred years or so and this format is now evident in many designers work since and will continue because almost everything has been done and it is cross blending that is now the designers task rather than inventing something totally new.
It makes me miss those days of the real super models and how Fashion was all about fun.

Amazing, it had everything, Jerry Hall looked insanely beautiful, that was a show to remember.
I envy that Tim got to attend this party. Looking back at thus show Jerry Hall looks sublime and this is what fashion epitomizes

Well, It's obvious that this looks absolutely amazing as It was in that time...OH MY GOD...20 YEARS BEFORE!!!!!!!....Never again there's been a moment in fashion as magic as this one. Thanx again, Tim!!!!!

i went to the Mugler retrospective here in Montreal 6 times and it's still mind blowing what he was able to do.
It's incredible to see show's like that 20 years on! After the recession everyone has been put off putting on theatrical shows that are fun and crazy. They just want a show that can sell the clothes. Not all of them mind you but majority. We definitely need these types of show's again!

that was THE SHOW. and the new gen designers still watch and tried to copy. wish he is back to the catwalk.. but he is designing for the next Friedrichstadt Palace Show in Berlin, cant wait!
Jerry is still everything. Loved the "party atmosphere" on the catwalk . The women, the men...*sigh*
Well, It's obvious that this magic and unique show looks absolutely as powerful and ageless as It was...oh my god...twenty years ago!!!!!!!
I remember Nadja wore some of these clothes in Lenny Kravitz videoclip of the song named as this show, 'Circus'...wonderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!

Every look was just "grand dame-ish." Showstoppers. Even the gogo boys were a great add. Would love to make an entrance with an entourage like this. =)

Still to this day one of the most magical stunning fashion shows of all times. It’s the reading karti b and kim kardashian still wear some of these amazing pieces die special occasions. Mugler is timeless. And Because the proportions he works with are universal parts of the Lexicon of seduction. In one phrase. Sex still sells and will do as long as humans are alive. It’s part of our dna. Thanks tim blanks for re visiting this special event.
