Thanks for watching folks - I should have pointed out that the Kup on display is the Buzzworthy version released a little later (the original has a metallic chest). I upgraded to the Buzzworthy version so don't have the original to photograph any more. They're pretty similar though - and the SS86 version is still very cheap to pick up (might even be cheaper than the later version).
It's a shame the design and engineering isn't consistent on these figures. I see it as Hasbro just guaranteeing that they can sell collectors better figures in a few years. Can't dry up the well with perfect figures already made.
0:27 yes I will be collecting those as well. I need quite a bit more too. Starscream coordination will be the last one I get. Because I already have him earthrise. But for the boxes I will need them for the numbering.
He is definitely creeping up in price on Ebay now - he is such a good figure I'm sure they'll find a way. Maybe a 3 pack with Blurr and Kup! I ordered the first 6 episodes of the Skybound comic after watching one of your videos by the way - you should be getting sponsorship money!
@@retroandreissue Thank you so much for the kind words! So happy to hear you're enjoying my videos, but that you're also getting into the comics. Vol 1 of the series is great, excited for next month when issue 12 releases and the first story arc is wrapped up
@@DeltaTrion I will be watching more once I've read the actual issues - worried about spoilers! Great vids though - really well produced and thoughtful discussions - just the type of thing I like to watch on RUclips!
Loving your videos - very helpful over the past month that I've spent -too much money- collecting the Studio Series 86 models still available on "A Certain Brazilian River" website, either from sellers in the UK or imported from Germany. * Arcee is a really great figure (I said "is" not "has"!) and looks awesome riding the Junkheap Junkion in its motorcycle alt-mode. A bit nerve-wracking the first time you transform it though. * Junkheap - got on offer for 1/3rd normal price and he's a fantastic model in either mode, but prefer motorcycle mode for display. Best looking motorcycle mode out of the 3 Junkions and don't feel need to get other 2 unless they're a bargain price. * Gnaw is a really delightful model, that's really characterful and super easy yet satisfying to transform as it just curls up on itself! * Bumblebee is very small and cute for a deluxe but the panel/tab alignment on the doors and front window is super frustrating and takes ages to get right. Maybe a QC/assembly issue. * Kup's (Buzworthy Bumblebee edition) I love Kup as a character but his inner-shoulder rotations are a nerve wracking nightmare unless you watch online videos showing how to disengage them before rotating. (Instructions are pretty poor/misleading generally across the range). * Coronation Starscream - My first ever Starscream figure and worth the £55 for the accessories. Some people dislike the flappy nose on his back but he looks the business to me. One wing is annoying loose and pops out sometimes. Not worth getting if you already have a model of him... but I wanted him to go with: * Galvatron (Legacy edition) - Got him on offer for £25 less than SS86 price as soon as the SS86 version was revealed to be just a repaint with no other changes. Galvatron has more screentime being purple than indigo so I don't mind * Spike is a neat little figure and the 2x blast effects are compatible with Bumblebee's weapon, so you can pose both of them blasting away at enemies! * Ratchet (Core) - A cute little figure that's an excellent fidget toy and smaller even than Bumblebee or Spike. Pose him at the back on your display to get some forced perspective - maybe being blasted by Starscream in the foreground? * Steeljaw - Tiny and cute. Get him on offer as not worth more than £9/10. The speaker attachment has a 5mm peg that you can use to make it into a megaphone for other Transformers to use and shout orders at others.
Thanks, as an 86 collector, this was nice to see, and I look forward to more like it. I will say it's a shame they keep changing the packaging styles, the dinobots in particular have ended up with three different ones which really detracts from how well they would otherwise display together. I also don't care for the look of (and as such, never picked up) the Buzzworthy Bumblebee releases (such as Cliffjumper and the Ironhide/Prowl double pack), and hope they get re-released with more conventional 86 packaging.
I absolutely bought the dead Prowl pack because he has always been my favorite character, but has such limited representation... So cash grab = success!
Here in the US, I can’t get Frenzy or Rumble. I’m not going to pick up the dying figure except maybe the one with Prowl because I can’t find a good version of him that is not over priced!
(psst that's Buzzworthy Bumblebee Kup) Nice comprehensive list though, weird that we have two 24s but no 18, whoever was in charge of assigning numbers at Hasbro must have been off when Dead Ironhide/Prowl came down the line Speaking of which, still waiting on SS86 Prowl...
Haha - yeah, I upgraded so don't have the original Kup for photography unfortunately. Still want a non-Dead version of Prowl (maybe he was the missing 18?)
@@retroandreissue Definitely possible, just hope he doesn't stay missing for much longer, the Earthrise one is still great but being locked behind an exclusive multipack is garbo
Somehow I’ve managed to grab all of them except gnaw, Scrapheap, Spike, and blaster cause I have the kingdom one even though the 86 one looks really good. Gonna have to grab 86 Optimus though I can’t resist they can have my money
As a new collector, I'm interested in the G1 toyline and the reissues. I am discovering there are about 3 or 4 reissue toylines that replicate or come close to the original G1 toyline: (1) the Studio Series 86, (2) the "Vintage" G1 reissues according to the labeling at TFSource, (3) Transformers: The Movie, and (4) the 40th Anniversary. It seems there is some cross-over and confusion amongst these as well. Can you please make a video explaining all these?
I actually prefer dying Ratchet and Ironhide because of their opaque windows. I also replaced my Kup with the BB version, and my Jazz with the 5-pack version, for this same reason. In my humble opinion all figures that are supposed to be movie or cartoon accurate should have opaque windows. Hasbro shows no consistency whatsoever in SS86 in this regard. And yes, the dinobots should be a light yellow, like in the cartoon. Like the new comic book Grimlock variant.

Hoping they do a reissue of Hot Rod at some point, he looks like a great figure.

I wish the packaging was more consistent just to make finding them easier! It's weird having to look closely to see "oh yes, that's the same line!"
Thank you for the list review ❤
Concise yet contentful, great vid! :)
Fantastic video thank you
love the content
Glad to hear!
Awesome!
Nice collection 🎉
Thank you 😊
I'm still looking for 86 frenzy 😫
Nice I have these all too except cliffjumper he is so expensive
Studio 86 is a nice looking line. I'd love to have more of it but only managed Arcee and Hot Rod for now.
Im holding out for a better Arcee mold, her mold is just not up to scratch.
I got Swoop and Steeljaw.
I'm just going to have to save for all these reissues because I actually have fallen in love with the designs

I am crossing my fingers they do an alive-and-kicking version of that Prowl!
I'm Freaked out I missed out with alot of these
I wish Blaster came with another accessory like Rewind.
Me too. I wonder if they'll release the others after Steeljaw at all now
@@retroandreissue Ramhorn has been leaked to be in a 3 pack with Perceptor and Ratbat at least.

There is not grimlock in malaysia but too much swoop in malaysia

I wonder how Megatron will end up 😅
are u getting the 86 optimus prime coming out later this year?
So weird we still don’t have 86-18
Do you have Dying Brawn and Dying Ratchet for after swoop in numbering
No, I'll use the marketing images instead for those, same as Dying Ironhide & Ratchet
What about the dead brawn and ratchet😊
They are number 27 and 28 - so I need to pick up Swoop (26) before covering those
RUMBLE IS FRENZY !!
lezgowww
Swoop is showing up on smyths websites
No offense but you have the buzzworthy bumblebee 86-02, the regular 86-02 has transparent chest and black tires
Hey are you Saraph from Reddit?
6th❤🎉
THAT'S NOT SLUG IT'S SLAG!
It’s a bad word in Britain so they call him slug
Buzzworthy kup?
