@@danuostret19001983 is an iconic contest!! Maybe ARD’s production wasn’t great, but the lineup and orchestra (the contest’s best ever) more than make up for it.
One thing I noticed is how good the staging producers were at hiding backing singers or instrument players on the stage , I didn't even know that Switzerland, France and The United Kingdom had any other people on stage
That’s the one thing I really don’t like about RTÉ’s production this year. I thought Switzerland was done fully live until I finally saw the backing musicians on stage (as per the backing track rules at the time).
Probably the best year of 80’s.
The 80's were the peak of the contest
@@danuostret1900 imo 80’s were the worst decade for ESC😅 (ok, maybe 00’s were worse) and 90’s were the peak. But after 87 it was good.
@@bobekspekiel9890 imo the only bad years in the 80's were 1980 , 1983 and 1986

@@JeSuisReneidk , the only songs I truly like from that year are France , Israel, Portugal and Germany

Nice intro from Norway
One of the most beautiful intros and songs... ever, in the history of the contest, I think.
1:20 that’s my favourite right there 😅
