I took it a step further than this. I studied Mathematics in University. I would see what section was going to be taught next and what questions were assigned for homework. Before lecture I would work through the section myself and try to do all the homework problems. When I got to lecture I would have specific topics I didn't understand and questions I couldn't solve. That way I could pay attention more and only had to take notes on the sections I didn't understand and had questions prepared for lecture on the topic at hand. This helped immensely.

At my university here in Scotland ever since everything moved to online due to COVID we have all our lectures in a pre-recorded online video format and then our tutorials are all on campus where we can ask for help and the lecturers can go more in detail if they feel it is needed or students want them too. I think it's by far a better way of learning as it means you can really take the time to go through the videos and take important notes instead of rushing to note everything down mid lecture and not really understanding it
Back when I studied in Poland, lecturers restricted writing notes on some lectures, so we would be able to understand more information given and let our brain to transform it into an actual knowledge by giving it a moment to think about, and ask questions/ discuss it during the lectures.

Great video, I was wondering if you guys had any tips for studying for English, like how to write good essays or strategies for reading comprehension tests.
you could look at the model essays and look at the framing of the sentences and synonyms for the words, such as futhermore, etc for also, for and you can write adding to which, because - due to the reason, as, due to which etc. also if u wanna know abt synonyms try using pinterest instead of google also u could use notion ai for the same
Matt, How are you able to link the dates of all your tasks and assignments to one big master calendar, I'm very interested with notion and thank you so much for showing this to me; it's been a real life changer
what if the AI is wrong… as for ChatGPT, there are common occasions where it is completely incorrect or contradictions itself. $97 to rely on an unpolished tool. :-(
Since it is a preview I think the idea would be that you correct/revise it with info from the actual lecture. It's no different from the step where you write out everything you know about the topic before studying - somethings you are going to get wrong and those need to be revised as part of the process.
Using AI for all those thing can be an increadibly powerfull tool that makes you win a lot of time, like you showed, but its also good to not use it too much. Actually summarizing the notes yourself => you understand the topic and are able to understand what are the key components + you already start to learn the concepts + you train your brain to express complex idea in a shorter way. Which are all very usefull skills to have both when studying and later when working. So don't rely only on these nez AI tools
I Would like to know if there is a possibility for creating mind map and integrate it to notion in a convenient way? Furthermore, do you have a system or even a few tips for how to inquiry your learning the improve on it every time?
Really helpful, but the price is just too much for my budget. I’m sure there’s tons of students that can’t afford it. Otherwise it would have been the best notion template tho.
Even though I love the video, My school doesn't allow electronics to school, so could you please help me with that , as I have loved the idea and procedure, I would have to skip the view stage
Advanced notion ai costs money on its own too, notion has to be paid. Still it is a lot of money. I respect his hustle I just don’t know if it’s for me.
If you want to go and try to setup this by yourself, that’s great, but you’ll see how much effort needs to go into this. If you want to get studying done, you’ll save yourself a couple of weeks of messing around to set this up. I think it’s worth it to purchase after trying to structure something like this by myself.
How would you adapt this to classes where you purposefully skip lecture? Some of my professors are not particularly gifted lecturers. Also, aren’t there some fears around the AI being inaccurate? I’ve seen similar AI generate incorrect info, so when you request the preview summary what happens if it’s incorrect?
I relate to you, our chemistry professor is fucking genius , but he just sometimes expects others to know somethings which isn't the case all the time .
Yes, large language model AI like GPT-3 (which Notion AI runs on) is not factually accurate. I suggest using the AI as a springboard to point you in the direction of what to review and getting your facts from reliable sources recommended by your prof.
Great question. You can absolutely still apply the phases of learning. Preview/view/review are more theoretical than “strictly” revolving around class. The important thing to know is that learning happens in stages, even if we self-study! Preview : never seen info before View : trying to put pieces and connect ideas Review : reinforce and solidify Of course AI is not perfect, but it’s a good starting point! That’s why in view, I recommend challenging your understanding by asking the real expert to clarify (your professor, your textbook)
@@friedrice4015 I'd probably recommend using the AI as a spellchecker and outliner at most in its current stage. For outlining, I'd frame it like 'What topics to put in an essay about _?", not to actually write an essay but give you subjects to research yourself.
I appreciate your effort, but this is one of the most expensive and over complicated system ever. Feels completely unrealistic to use or even understand. This would just feel like a way of productive procrastination. Not worth the price.

Can you make a video on how to prepare for an competitive exam even though you are not interested in that government job but you have no other option.
Bruhhh in india its like 8k rupees 🙂 totally heartbreaking 😭😭 i wanted to try it
agreed
Great video, I was wondering if you guys had any tips for studying for English, like how to write good essays or strategies for reading comprehension tests.
you could look at the model essays and look at the framing of the sentences and synonyms for the words, such as futhermore, etc for also, for and you can write adding to which, because - due to the reason, as, due to which etc. also if u wanna know abt synonyms try using pinterest instead of google
also u could use notion ai for the same
Yes! I definitely need a video on this information !!!
@@lydiapotter ty
ooo this is SUCH a good video for teaching students how Notion AI can benefit them
This is so fun. I am a lazy trash with unsatisfying grades. This Actually makes me want to study now.
Bro I can't afford really... But love your content
It’s quite complicate but still interesting. I will try.
Thanks! Never thought I would get productivity tips from Noel Miller
Love your videos🤩🤩
Thank you thank you
Matt, How are you able to link the dates of all your tasks and assignments to one big master calendar, I'm very interested with notion and thank you so much for showing this to me; it's been a real life changer
You have to add a calendar and then when hovering your mouse over it you'll see a + symbol to add events
what if the AI is wrong… as for ChatGPT, there are common occasions where it is completely incorrect or contradictions itself. $97 to rely on an unpolished tool. :-(
The 97 is for the notion template, the AI is just an added bonus ✨️
@@ItsMax05 which is 10$ per month..
Chat gpt is pretty good. The better the questions the better the answers. It's not perfect and rarely do I need to use bing.
Since it is a preview I think the idea would be that you correct/revise it with info from the actual lecture.
It's no different from the step where you write out everything you know about the topic before studying - somethings you are going to get wrong and those need to be revised as part of the process.
Most awaited video including AI
Same! I’m surprised there are so few comments about the pricing
anyone bought the template?
I thought u guys had and created remnote now you moved to another one whats up
This seems very helpful, but why the price ?
Woah. This AI is mind blowing. Honestly. I will get it for sure, it's kinda expensive but IT IS SO GOOD. OMG. I would love to give it a try.
Notion AI is incredible!
@@KoiAcademy indeed it is
I’m sorry but 97$ is…. excessive. We’re college students. We’re all broke lol
Even though I love the video, My school doesn't allow electronics to school, so could you please help me with that , as I have loved the idea and procedure, I would have to skip the view stage
How did the world come this Far😂
AI already helping like crazy
Wait, but what if you're at school and you're not allowed to note down things on an ipad? what if you need to use a book?
Hi im a remnote user. I was wondering how does study quest and remnote work together? Do they integrate or is study quest a totally new alternative?
Not a good question?
Wanted more about the notion template, and less about sponsered notion ai stuff :/
why not free
he's gotta eat
Advanced notion ai costs money on its own too, notion has to be paid. Still it is a lot of money. I respect his hustle I just don’t know if it’s for me.
Money
If you want to go and try to setup this by yourself, that’s great, but you’ll see how much effort needs to go into this. If you want to get studying done, you’ll save yourself a couple of weeks of messing around to set this up. I think it’s worth it to purchase after trying to structure something like this by myself.
@@friedrice4015 notion ai is free , anyone can use it , he just telling how to use it with his product
Is there a way to add PowerPoint slides to this and then alsk Ai to summarize? (So I can preview the lecture)
I think the method of pre-reviewing, lecture, and post-reviewing is fine. but this application seems so overwhelming that It will bore me fast.
I have a question: do you use only Notion AI now? Or do you use RemNote as well?
an interesting video, but I was haunted by what kind of jacket you're wearing, please, who knows, help me, I just fell in love with her!!😍
has anyone done this for learning languages? If so could you give me some tips on how to effectively use ?
creates a study platform to help students achieve higher grades.
forgets students are also struggle financially.
proceeds to price it just under $100.
Is Study Quest worth it?
When creating a Database on Notion, using Formula functions but don't know how to create it, can you ask Notion AI can do it?
@@buhains it just kinda sounds to me like I’d be just as well off using this template without the ai. Bc it would suck to get details twisted.
Great question. You can absolutely still apply the phases of learning. Preview/view/review are more theoretical than “strictly” revolving around class.
The important thing to know is that learning happens in stages, even if we self-study!
Preview : never seen info before
View : trying to put pieces and connect ideas
Review : reinforce and solidify
Of course AI is not perfect, but it’s a good starting point!
But what about RemNote, what you guys used to make videos on?
I mean RemNote is still out there, I think it’s a tool you can use in review
*Ain't nobody got taym foh daht....*
So are you guys pushing this now or is RemNote still going to be a supported platform in the long term ?
Hi Cajun can you please make a video we’re you show your path from 1 subscriber to 600k subscribers
I appreciate your effort, but this is one of the most expensive and over complicated system ever. Feels completely unrealistic to use or even understand. This would just feel like a way of productive procrastination. Not worth the price.
I thought you were all about Remnote. What were the reasons you switched to Notion?
Love your videos but sadly i cant afford it
What was your study system for 3rd year for your shelves?
Happy birthday 🎉
OK MATTHEW🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love ur video
Thank you! Which part was most helpful?
During the last years I've changed a lot of times my software to organize as a "second brain".
The last I started to use some days ago is Obsidian in my desktop computer, smartphone and my onyx note air ... Today I found this video, may be it's interesting for you too: ruclips.net/video/baKCC2uTbRc/видео.html
Bro thank you for linking that video! I’m a chronic procrastinator and he really called me out on my shit😂
Please teach me your editing tricks🙏🙏
So i know that you are a Justin Sung student ,are the method here the same as Justin Sung ?
Do you know why I can't able to get access to study schedule notion template???
How much can that AI assistance do for me without affecting my own understanding process due to my metacognitive effort?
