RELIGION IS A CONCEPT. Those pastors are enriching themselves under the suffering of Nigerians. They have to speak out for the Nigerian people. Look at what happen in Senegal 🇸🇳 ,when their president wants to push his term in office, the Islamic community came out and criticize the government .If those pastors do not come out and stand with the Nigerian people or speak about the IGBOS let people boycott their churches. Religions is one major problem that put Africans behind today in terms of developments. Instead of building factories so that our youths can be employed, those pastors keep building Mega Churches, same to those Imams they are also building Mosques. Go to Dubai they pray too but they are also focused on business and developments. But for us Africans we think prayer is going to change everything in our life without working hard. It's a sick mentality which need to be change by reducing those churches and Mosques.

The movement of Rev Martin Luther King was not against the government at all but against racial prejudice which was a social evil and not a political one. The government of his day did not make the people racially prejudiced. What MLK wanted was that the government would make laws to protect the fundamental right of the blacks. It is not the same as criticizing a bad government which some Nigerians believe GO should be doing....he would be breaking Biblical principles if he did that. See Ro.13:1-5. The role of Church leaders is prayer and private counsel to leaders not open rebuke; and their silence does not mean consent at all

Thank you Neze for this video🎉. I want to commend Prophet Isa El-Buba who led the protest in Jos, Plateau State. He stood with the people to demand good governance. On one of the days, the muslims had to say their prayers, the Christians stood around them and last Sunday 4th of August, he invited everyone to Church which was held at the protest ground. The muslims also attended and they confessed that he had made them feel loved, no offering was taken and no tithe was collected. I'm telling you that his actions have drawn many to Christ and some others have understood that Christians are not their enemies.
It's very disheartening that our pastors kept quiet at this crucial moment in our national life. A new Nigeria is coming and no one can stop it. Jesus said " not everyone that calls me Lord, Lord, will enter into the Kingdom but he who does the will of my Father.." Shalom and Maranatha.

I am not not Nigerian but definitely as an African i hope Nigerians stop focusing on their differences as tribes i.e Igbo, Yoruba and work together as Nigerians for a better country, Nigeria can be better. All other African countries too have different tribes but the intensity of hate due to tribes isn't this much. We as Africans must never let tribes define us. If an Igbo man say is working well, try to copy the good and as well grow, jealously doesn't bring progress but rather wastes time

They have sold about 60% of Lagos former federal capital and now economic capital of Nigeria to the igbos even at a very exorbitant prices, and later they'll come to take back the land from buyers which is the igbos bc they've developed it

Denying your identity is an agreement to deception. Every tribe is an ethnic nation of it own. Colonial masters deceived us into amalgamation for 100 years. Should we continue in slavery? Each ethnic nation has its language, culture traditions and values giving it its identity as a sovereign nation. Rather than forcefully impose on others better to claim your sovereignity/independence instead of living in deception which nigeria represents

    • @nalungaagnes1884
      @nalungaagnes1884 Месяц назад +5

Separation should be the last option, besides look at countries that have separated before, did division change anything. A clear example is of Sudan and South Sudan. Nothing has changed. Upto now there are still wars in both countries. The message here is, differences will always be there, but we should focus and see how we work things out to co- exist. Take a look a Rwanda, after the genocide, they didn't give separation i.e. to form a Hutu, or Tutsi nation, they rather came to common grounds on how to co- exist. Today it's the most peaceful country in Africa. You can hardly here of Tutsi and Hutus chant in that country. I understand you guys might think separation of the country is the best, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee stability

Nigeria is doomed by religion. I fail to see how a religious country could lack such necessities. For years, we have been brainwashed. In my zoo country, leaders are not held accountable or forced to resign when they feel incompetent. Does God pick some countries and give their populations access to basic necessities, or do the people in these nations hold their leaders accountable?

What did Nigerians do in 2014 when Bishop Oyedepo was indirectly screaming not to bring Apc to power? They insulted him and asked him to face the altar because they wanted a change.
I met a deaconess in the winners that said papa should face the altar. And today they brought APC into power 2014. What do they want Bishop to do or say? To go fight the government? Not in your dream. He has faced his church so no one should blame him. And I am glad he is doing welfare for the members of his church world wide in this season. No member will be left to go hungry. As for those who say Igbo should go, we de watch them. Igbos are peaceful people, they only want a convenient place where to do their business and make money. The Few Yoruba that is saying this should know that the Igbo don't back, they bite when they need to. So it will be better to allow them live their lives in peace.

In my opinion, here in Nigeria, That's a very astute observation! It's true that some religious leaders in Nigeria, particularly in Pentecostal circles, have been criticized for cultivating a cult-like following, where they are revered and worshiped almost like deities. This phenomenon is often referred to as "pastor worship" or "man of God syndrome."
This can lead to an unhealthy focus on the leader rather than God, and a reliance on miracles and material prosperity rather than spiritual growth and development. It's essential for Christians to remember that their faith should be centered on God, not on any human leader or institution.
True Christianity emphasizes a personal relationship with God, humility, love, and service to others. It's crucial for believers to seek a balanced and authentic expression of their faith, focusing on spiritual transformation, biblical teachings, and genuine discipleship.
Your comment highlights the need for critical thinking, discernment, and a return to the core values of Christianity in Nigeria's religious landscape.
When religious leaders prioritize their own interests and benefits over the welfare of their followers, they can become complicit with the government and other powerful entities, rather than holding them accountable.
This can lead to a lack of critique and challenge towards unjust systems and policies, as the leaders are more focused on maintaining their own power and privileges. As a result, their followers may not be encouraged to speak truth to power, demand justice, or work towards meaningful change.
In a way, this dynamic can perpetuate a status quo that benefits the elite at the expense of the marginalized and oppressed. It's essential for religious leaders to remember their prophetic role in speaking out against injustice and advocating for the vulnerable, rather than becoming entangled in webs of power and privilege.
By doing so, they can help create a more just and equitable society, where the voices of the marginalized are heard and valued.

Watching the old clips from 2020 protest is making me sad. Many celebrities, almost all came out for this protest, supporting with their presence and money, food, water, social media. This week, I only saw Real Warri Pikin, maybe some others came out but everything is quiet and low-key. I don't blame them, it's not easy at all. The organizer (alleged organizers) were stopped from travelling, police invited many people to the station (besides the ones that were just dragged into custody). We all remember different terrible things that happened that period. I was in UST and I just left from an exam only to hear protesters coming, we had heard news that some bad things will go down. Few minutes later, I was still in a bus on the way home when I saw my friends' Whatsapp status. They posted pictures of bullets that landed close to them, the same place I'd have been if I didn't hurry home. Port Harcourt had it's own weird thing. Then in 2023, different but related problems plagued the entire country 🤦🏾‍♀️. I don't know what we are supposed to do again, I'm too young to contest for a reasonable position and my age group are up to 30% and over of the countries population 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️. Yesterday, my mom told me about a japa opportunity,😭😭 I actually decided that I will not leave to work in another country but I'm beginning to have 2nd thoughts.

that's not true, check the statistics of developed countries.
if you have any suggestions of things pastors can do that can bring effective change to the bad system in Nigeria pls suggest them.
The issues with Nigerians is that we throw the balls at the wrong people. Was
the rotten system of Nigeria made rotten by pastor's or church bodies??? Why can't people also blame the Islamic religious leaders too, or you miss the fact that the president and vice president are both Muslims???
I remember when pastors where taking political sides during election period, these same people criticized it.
I pray we get to the place where we understand that the issue of the Nigerian people is not only a government problem, it's a character flaw. we a people so selfish and greedy, I can't count the number of people who sold their vote for this current government for just 10k, 15k and 20k.
was it the religious leaders that lead the bribery on the election day and asked them to sell their votes?
The fact remains that if we continue accusing ourselves rather than working on our integrity we won't get anyway.
The education sector is a very good example, in most schools in Lagos and other state students pay ridiculous amount of money for waec, to be able to cheat so they can pass any child that does pay would be not be allowed to write even if that child is brilliant. The government has no hand in this evil, it civilians creating a faulty mindset in the minds of future leaders, showing them money can solve all the problem.
we wants religious leaders to be politically neutral during elections and we want them to speak up after elections it doesn't work that way, we should have a side focus on where you are and see how can instill discipline. if you are a teacher find a way to stop cheating in your school, if you are an accountant find a way to stop fraud and money laundry, if a are a policeman find a way to stop criminals from going unpunished, if you are a market woman stop unnecessary inflation of prices on your products. Let's fight corrupt from where we are build a united front of integrity, that's the only way we can win right now.

Neze, I must commend your explicit and well worded expression. I was jolted when you gave those biblical references to your thoughts and mind revelation. Indeed, God knew beforehand and called these deceitful men that claim the pastoral title as wolves in sheep clothing and they will stop at nothing to satisfy their belly. The political class are usurping the exploitation of these pastors to exhibit impunity with all recklessness to impoverish an already ravaged people. Many of them are also members in these religious groups and make great donations that benefit the leaders of religious institutions hence are classified as generous. Their purported thanksgivings and testimonies claimed to honour God are made lifting the religious leaders as great men of God whom God honour their prayers. Thus the cries of the poor and oppressed are relegated to the background and in their state of hopelessness are exploited to believe what are fed them as truth. No one understands the state of the despondent and downtrodden who often times are at the mercy of their slave masters and remember the scripture said they will deceive even the elect. But one question they have failed to ask themselves is this; where are all the wealth amassed by those before them and which industry has any grave produced? The greedy and corrupt politicians and religious leaders of the past, even some who were adorned with diamond and gold ornaments, how many has come out their graves to display pageantry. It’s all vanity. The truth prevails above the conspiracies and lies. The oppressed masses can only withstand for a period but hunger, poverty, lack, and suffering has its limits and its consequences are dear. Any wise man will understand but the ears that have been shut and refused to listen to the cry of the oppressed may be forced to witness the repercussions of evil because this is evil under the sun. Thank you Nezeville, keep doing the good work.

@@rachelrovner4724 No dear, your thoughts in dat direction is not correct.
      1) There's nothing wrong if a prophet is famously celebrated (a CELEBRITY) and is on TV. JESUS, Elijah, John d Baptist, Apostle Paul and others actually are celebrities and wld have been more dan celebrities too if dey lived and work in dis generation d way dey did in dis time.
      2) You're also not correct to tink dat only off-TV set prophets and those who control small membership (quiet & shabby) ones are true prophets. Being in TV is a function of capacity (FINANCIAL CAPACITY) to be there. Being celebrity is also a function of how well ur FAME is spread ad absorbed by d immediate environment and beyond. None of d two things have anything to do with d actual calling of God upon dia lives.
Once again, my two points above does not automatically mean a support for evil doers. Hence,
      3) I wholeheartedly agree dat IT IS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS DAT AT A TIME LIKE DIS ALMOST ALL THE PROPHETS, MOST ESPECIALLY THOSE CONTROLLING HUGE MEMBERSHIP KEPT SILENT. IT IS INSANE FOR PEOPLE TO KEEP PRAYING AND NOT DO D NECESSARY WORK DAT'LL MAKE D PRAYER COME TO PASS. IT IS HYPOCRITICAL AND ANNOYING IN MY VIEW.
      4) MY CLASSIFICATION FOR PROPHETS WITH BIG MEMBERSHIP INCLUDE REVEREND FATHERS AND BISHOPS OF CATHOLIC DIOCESES, PASTORS, APOSTLES, BISHOPS AND PROPHETS OF OTHER CHURCHES. All these categories control large memberships and we can't continue to behave as if d catholic denomination is exempted from this, Hence no one is left out. They're all wrong to keep quiet wen they shld be mobilizing d crowd against evil regardless of whether some politicians attend dia churches or not.

Concerning the tithe payment to the church. We do that because it is the Lord's command, and there are blessings attached to it (Malachi 3:10), and I reap from the blessings. However, whatever the church use the money for is up to them. We will all give accounts on judgement day.

Are these pastors Levitical priests? Go look for John MacArthur's teaching called "Understanding Biblical Tithing". It doesn't have to be 10% and it's not to exhorted by compulsion.
Every cent these prosperity gospel "pastors" have made from their wicked teachings will be accounted for. Also you might want to check out John MacArthur's teachings on False Teachers. All on YT. Blessings and Maranatha.🙏

Nezeville this is super. Am so proud of you. Thanks for your courage to speak out. Well , but I want you to remember that Saul was there when David came from the bush and headed for the war front to take down the head of the Golliat. I have seen some pastors in this protest who came out to champion the course. If the other pastors you mentioned are not the David , then I won't loose my sleep for their presumed silence. It's better they stay away if God did not send them to do anything.
I watched you with keen interest ,listening as you delivered this powerful narrative. . I wish I could do the same, but that's your grace not mine.
So let it be . Whosoever among Nigerians that speaks for the people at this time that's the saviour. whether Pastor or not Pastor.
Remember aslso that somebody like Bishop Oyedepo has been speaking against this heartless and wicked administration of Tinubu.
Nezeville, this people we are dealing with are serpents and scorpions. Let any of these pastors show up and you will see Imams and some others who will come up as pastors but sponsored by this same government to counter them. This is my take. Let the protest go on and may God use whosoever he want to use to put Nigeria in order.

My question is .. why do we have few names of pastors to call out? They are many out there... Then secondly, i am from the north, and the imams greatly influenced the votes for the Muslim Muslim ticket...They are silent too...yet no one is calling them out..Who is calling out the imams please?????

    • @Nezeville
      @Nezeville  Месяц назад +11

Pretty simple, Because they are the ones that command a lot of influence due to the strength of their congregation.
Ans to 2nd question: I am a Christian ild talk to my daddies… the muslims should talk to theirs.

    • @gracious1826
      @gracious1826 Месяц назад

I understand ..But the effect of this is, if the bigger names don't do their job, the others will relax and feel they have no voice . I think all pastors should be called out too because they have level of influence at different levels..The question is, what will happen when these ones die in the nearest future? Who will then speak if up til now they leave it for the bigger ones to speak, and the big pastors are silent...Soo what do we do? ...Am just saying, Every level needs to be called out just Incase the big ones are not doing their job. I wish I can express my point clearly..forgive me, am not trying to attack but I really feel others have relaxed and left the job to be done by those on top..and those up there are not doing it....
Then for the imams who pushed through for Muslim Muslim ticket...I think they can also be called out diplomatically since this is not a religious platform but a logical one...hope am right on that one though...Am a far northern christian and we don't really have a voice out here so am pained..in other words, we can call out all religious leaders..Muslims never call out their imams...they seem to have high regard for them and fear calling them out....but it needs to be done so am suggesting using the term religious leaders at least

@@Nezevillebut you can't be inciting pastors to influence their congregation. This is how violence starts when fanatics take to the streets. Pastors should not use their influence or position of power on their members.
Bible says "Daniel purposed in his heart not to eat the king's meal". Some pastors just don't want to meddle. I am not anywhere going to be a pastor, but I don't discuss racial differences and politics with even close associates and family members. The differences are powerful and some meaningful relationships have been lost, because people were not cautious in handling sensitive issues like this.

When people's rights are violated and you keep quiet.
In the rule of law, it means you concurred.
      It means yes.
Let's not beat about the bush.
I have yet to see the political leaders come out to tell them that asking someone to leave part of a country they are on the path of and have rights to live and do business is actually against Nigerian constitutional rights.
      Please let's call a spade a spade.
Maybe Nigeria will break after all.
      The world is watching.
      August 30th is coming.
When someone is raped or someone harms someone else and you don't report it.

Neze May you live long. The pain of EndSars massacre is still fresh as you talk about it . I am not in Nigeria but I brought out my EndSars tee shirt last week to show the pain of Nigerians in diaspora as the hunger protest was going on. We continue to pray for our country as ministers but faith without work is dead. Prayer alone will not solve the problem of our country because God is not going to come down. He needs a man to work on earth . That is why the people must speak out. As Neze has said it is the people that will demand justice and accountability in our systems so life can be what it ought to be . God bless Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
