Adeola, despite the scepticism (I'm sceptical about the validity of such arrangement as well), this might actually favor us better (ie if the nnpcl can be honest with itself and implement the distribution void of bias and corrupt practices). Our independent marketers are a big part of our problem in the distribution sector today. Most of them illegally divert our fuel and sell to neighbouring countries for higher profits. It's highly probable that they'd take advantage of the reduced cost of procuring the product directly from dangote and continue selling same beyond our borders for even greater profits. On the flip side, if truly the output from the dangote refinery outweighs the fuel demand of the country, then we'd have no business importing esp when it's at a relatively cheaper rate (as implied). With this the issue of subsidy will eventually die a natural death. Of course it's all easier said than done, but I think it's achievable if the government of the day is sincere to itself. Mind you, there'll be a more definitive disclosure of the amount the nnpcl will be paying dangote than several independent marketers will claim they paid for it. PS: I'm not an expert in the field neither do I have experience in it. Just my thoughts. I'm open to being educated more in this matter. Thanks

Deola, it is not only that our government did not want our refinery to work. They also do not want us to have serious and sincere government.
I knew all these would eventually happen because the buhari administration that spent so much by giving huge $ subsidy to dangote to do this, I guess only approved money for dangote refinery without proper SLA. Just imagine that. No guides rule per how dangote should work in terms of operations. Who does such a thing?
So now, under a new administration dngote and fg are now trying to negotiate modus of operandi. Habba na. The buhari admin has done so much damage for this nation in all that it did

Dangote has done something big for his country. He is an old man, and he just want to leave a legacy. I do not understand why some officials are hampering the progress of his refinery project. Can someone explain the reasons for me?
The Nigerian leadership is a mess with illegitimate president as minister of petroleum aka nnpc and Dangote most agree to his terms/conditions if he really wants to produce for Nigerians and we also have in mind that some of these politicians have refinery outside Nigeria. Malta refinery is still codedly in operation as nnpc. Nigeria problems are spiritual.
