D-Max nose has been to much narrowed in(bit of a stumped nose) while the Mazda have a much prouder stance and looks much better. Don,t want to let yourself in hey? Thanks.
I really want one!! Wonder if my work will salary sacrifice my wage? Yes it looks awesome, just needs a nudge bar and a tow ball. Can I have this vehicle for free please?
Great review Tom, thanks. I notice often in your videos you mention "OUR detailed impressions/opinions" of a vehicle, but in this one you said "MY detailed opinions". Is this intentional, when you say "our", have you collated your Chasing Cars colleagues impressions as well and this time it was just your personal opinion? Cheers
Good upgrade and I can expect the new MU-X. It would be interesting to campare D-MAX and new Hilux, as well as MU-X and Fortuner. BTW, it seems Aussies tend to pronounce 'ai' when a name start with i, like IKEA and ISUZU, instead of 'i'.
Interesting prospect, but it’s annoying that they did not design a Ute to take a standard pallet of 1165mm between the wheel wells, which is annoyingly 1122mm according to the specs. It really reduces the utility of the vehicle.
Siquan Wu One of the other review sites just compared against Hilux and Ranger. Three reviewers. One picked the Ranger, one the Hilux and one the DMax.. Ha, talk about not upsetting your advertisers. However, when the question was asked which car ‘they would buy if their own money’. All three chose the DMax so suppose that says something.
Siquan Wu Hunting around, found I could get Ford Ranger for the price of the new DMax - so same price. Hunted around for GLS Premium Triton and found a few (new) 2019 plates for 45k. Incredible price. The Raptor was 10k more on average.
What i dont understand is some isuzu dealers are doing DA deals on the LSU and LSM and SX well below MRRP, however mazda is selling the bt50 at MRRP and doesnt appear to be doing DA deals
Dear followers!! Don't let the beautiful pictures confuse you . Anyone who buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service, the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep your money safe.!!!Share so more people don't get screwed.
Can you please tell me about the ride comfort? I am planning to get this as a Utility-Family car and I am trying to find a reliable and comfortable pick up truck.
Where you live?the most comfortable ute will be nissan navara because of that rear coil spring instead of leaf spring..but all the newer ute still comfort enough as a ute even with leaf spring
Kind of a big cringe that they chucked in a manual dimming rear view mirror for such a luxurious (it includes a black headliner!) and tech-filled ute. But I appreciate the integrated infotainment screen into the dash. I hate tablet infotainment screens w/ a passion.
What D Max has done is taken the 95% people who use it on road and developed a perfect on road vehicle for tradies and tradie families but reduced taking off road - imagine with all that tech 4wd fans start talking about 2 inch lift, getting rid of x,yz and the like.. Now because the same mob in Thailand builds cars for the different brands expect next Ranger Wildtrak to be exactly the same as this D-Max technology wise plus one or two extra and another $3000 price increase.
Tell us how Isuzu demax thought it was a great idea to make the front grill come out way past the front bumper bar! And who was the banana who wanted the front wheel plastic rubber crap splash trays that worp, bow, buckle and twist from being brand new!
Why is the infotainment so laggy? It's unacceptable in this day and age. Creates frustration and distraction for the driver too. Have to say the interior looks like a massive step up over last model. Did you mention price?
Incredible upgrade. Well deserved for this venerable icon of reliability and consistency.
Agreed.
My old dmax mechanicals were brilliant. But the underbody paint and suspensions were where they cuts costs. Hopefully has improved
I'm thinking the suspension has. Can't speak to the paint as yet though, not enough time with the vehicle.
Enjoyed watching the Video Review. The D-Max Is definitely the better looking Model
Can't wait for my payout I'll buy this in heart beat
Looks awesome great effort by Isuzu deserves to do well.
Agreed, great to see such a big improvement.
The D max stays winning.
D-Max nose has been to much narrowed in(bit of a stumped nose) while the Mazda have a much prouder stance and looks much better. Don,t want to let yourself in hey? Thanks.
Actually its about time the interior got a makeover.
Should that be Cross-terrain and NOT ex-terrain??
DMax in X version looks way better than the BT50
I really want one!! Wonder if my work will salary sacrifice my wage?
Yes it looks awesome, just needs a nudge bar and a tow ball.
Can I have this vehicle for free please?
Fantabulously refined. I really admire this truck.
If the new Isuzu D-MAX is a huge improvement, I have a good feeling the new Mazda BT-50 is going to do well.
Probably the best tech for a pick up. I'm impressed.

Not intentional, Ben, but good pickup. I'm speaking on behalf of our corporate view.
toyota hilux revo rocco 2.8 4 × 4
Isuzu d'max vcross 3.0 4x4
Do not know what to buy?
Need for agriculture and regular travel.
Want to buy the isuzu d'max vcross 3.0 4 × 4
Fears that many say that the car's safety system interferes with driving.
Did it come as a nuisance?
I 😍 like Isuzu dmax
awesome. Would love to own one someday, currently own hilux
Thanks Tom, great review.
Any chance, you could do a towing review / comparison on both the new dmax and new Hilux?
Cheers
Thank you for the review. This Isuzu series with tray is our choice for a slide-on camping box.
Can’t wait to take mine home!

Yeah, that is annoying.
Compare hilux, BT50, ranger and this, thanks Tom

Carl Naessens Ranger is $10k more dearer, isn’t it?

When we do a comparison, I'll tell you my honest opinion. We're independently funded and don't run ANY manufacturer ads
Chasing Cars never doubt, Tom. Your channel is one of two Australian car channels I watch, others I can’t be bothered anymore.
Can you do review in x trail 2019?
Nice review Tom, hitting all the right points interest a viewer. Interior is a big leap forward, keen to see if it beats others on the sales chart.
I don’t like the look of the bt-50. The cx5 ish front end doesn’t go on a Ute in my opinion. I’d get the Isuzu all day over the bt-50
What i dont understand is some isuzu dealers are doing DA deals on the LSU and LSM and SX well below MRRP, however mazda is selling the bt50 at MRRP and doesnt appear to be doing DA deals
I waited the whole video to hear the price... 😭
I think 56,00 to 58,000
@@JT-fn4eu on italy max version with 3.0 engine cost arround 32.000€ and same in Spain.

@@blitz2457 cool thanks
Love it. Buying 1
Dmax looks way better then the bt50
Yes Mazda's kodo design language just does not work on that truck.
Have to say it really looks good

Yeah, I don't mind the looks. Just wish it had the big Isuzu sticker on the tailgate. Looks too non-descript.

I honestly want a truck without any fancy electronics. But well We own a D-Max and it is a workhorse
Get the old one then.
My love Isuzu dmax

Interesting hypothesis - certainly expecting the new Ranger to be a tech-fest (and Amarok, which will share its platform).

Isuzu dmax strong 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Anyone know, does traction control still operate on the front wheels when the rear diff lock is engaged?
No, only Ranger and Navarra get that feature.
@@MrDanjacs good to know, thanks.

I like it but why do these things cost so bloody much, we aren't all rich tradies
Agreed, but most likely because the vast majority are (a) discounted way off the retail price, common for this segment and (b) are business purchases
Another great review. Thanks Tom
Did you drive to the end of the earth to film this 🤣
A few months prior to this film shoot , big areas of Australia suffered horrendous bush fires, natural regeneration is slowly happening.
Why is the infotainment so laggy? It's unacceptable in this day and age. Creates frustration and distraction for the driver too. Have to say the interior looks like a massive step up over last model. Did you mention price?
No sunroof?😥
Sadly no, though that is a rare feature in the dual cab segment
Seen your channel before, but now subscribing. Greetings from South Africa.
Tom, is the engine mounted longitudinally???
right so when you buy a car to drive you look at that sort f thing plus if it is steel or titanium, moulded rubber or synthetic, LOLLZZZ
From looking at 6:36, yes it is.
Yes it is, Cyril. Just obscured by the engine cover.
Oh. First in etc etc
Congrats, thanks for watching.
BT50 looks better
Agreed. Same mechanicals, though.
The rims are UGLY.
Yeah, that design isn't really my thing.
I can’t wait to buy one 🙏🙏🏽🙏🏼🇦🇺
Well, the front is early 2000s SsangYong level ugly
I prefer the BT50 but Isuzu has done such a fantastic job here.
its the same car..
Nice and unimaginative handle mate...there is simply no need to learn any other words except fuck and shit - terrific !
