I think it’s better that they slept on it. Most of the characters have bigger backstories in the comics, they teased it so it added some dimension to the movie without it taking too much time.

Since these characters are going to appear in Secret Wars, they better show Magneto finding out the truth. Kevin Fiege said that them all appearing in the movie will be putting the Fox's X-Men story to an end and so they're going to try their best to end character arcs with them all since they are going to make way for the MCU version of the team.
It’s sad that this father-son story was build up in DOFP but then this movie didn’t reach it potential in story telling. And don’t me bringing up the Dark Phoenix 😢😢😢

Quicksilver experienced every second as 33 minutes, that is cannon. It was a life of hell for him. He slowed his speech and movements to function. But if he wanted to mess you up, he had no equal. Power over metal, or even energy itself can’t compete with someone that experiences time the way he does. He’s a tragic character but there are no significant threats against him
Not telling him was so dumb, they build it up troughout the entire movie and then when the ideal moment comes... Neeeh .. I felt like I was 10 years old again watching Bold and Beautiful next to my mom

One thing that irks me about this casting is that both Magneto and Quicksilver looks to be around the same age. In this X-men universe this implies Magneto got some teenage girl pregnant while also being a teen himself.
Magneto looks significantly older than quicksilver even with that casting. But even if they did look around the same age, it doesn't imply anything. Erik looks to be around 10 years old in auschwitz in 1944. And this movie takes place in 1973. So erik should be around 40 at the time. Now we don't have an official age for quicksilver, but I'd say he's not older than 20, probably closer to 18. Which would mean magneto got him when in his early 20s
To think that 20yrs ago, he looked like a drop of quick silver. On a serious note, when QS said his mom knew a guy that controlled metal...why'd they have him remember it like it was vague? How many other metal controlling ppl has he met?
By the time our " Master Race " genius had put 2 and 2 together his son was long gone. So, Peter, that " talent " of yours of constantly being " late "- you got it from your father.
I just know that if Erik was there with the Maximoffs, he'd be an amazing father. We got a glimpse of how much family means to him in Apocalypse, so i imagine them being really happy together....but on the other hand, theres cherik...so..
I wish this was kept in is because later Apocalypse breaks Quicksilver's leg and that would be a "I'm not going to lose another child" moment for Erik. He could save him.
