Everyone has an arch rival -- and for the Audi A6, there's no greater nemesis than the BMW 5-Series. In the UK, it's never got the better of its opponent, though. It's never looked as good, never driven as well, never had the same want-it factor.

Much better looking than the last A6.
Audi is back in the game.
Maybe I will buy an A6 again now.
the Audi really shines at night time, out on the town with good music playing. the audi interior at night feels so alive.

The BMW X6 30D with 245hp and 500nm does the 0-60 in 7.5 secs and its much heavier. Imagine the 530d or 535d
Much better looking in & out than the previous model.
There is also a "BiTurbo" option to be had on A6s now
this car look really awesome, much better than 5 series and it is better and faster
@Hidezepickle don't bullshit, quattro is better to drive.
A6 3.0 TDI 6.1s to 100km/h BMW 530d F10 6.3s both 245hp.
Most car reviewers actually seem to convey that the Audi is now sportier than the current 5-Series.

The Auto Union Type C Audi (1936-37) produced over 480 bhp, with speed in excess of 250 kph, a number unheard of at that time. Auto Union later became a subsidiary of the best Volkswagen Group, sharing it technologies. The Audi R10 TDI became the first diesel powered car to win the 24 hours Le Mans and went on to win Le Mans every year since its introduction, until it got replaced by Audi R15, enjoy.
Nice car, but shame about the reviewer's annoying habit of dropping the "T" from half the words.

@TheEryk03 just one query they charge £260 for mp3 connection. Im sorry but a citroen c1 has that as standard come on audi but other than that good it is
no the first 3.0 tdi is at 204 hp, so 245, and then 300. get ur facts right before posting please
@SilvrBckGorilla faster than 530d... Audi does not do the equivalent 535d.

Sales numbers will show. And though I'm more than sure Audi will make huge discounts, however the A6 won't beat the 5 Series.
The exterior looks awesome.. definitely looks better than BMW
why the hell isn't the TDI not available in America? do they not think there's a market for that engine here?? GIVE US THE TDI!!!

Well, stop lying. The new 5-series isn't very sporty. This car handles better thanks to its new 4wd system, being better balanced and lighter materials.

this must be the 2010 model, cuz my dad has a 2012 a6 it does 0-60 in an incredible 4.4 seconds, top speed 170, and supercharger
This guy would make a Bugatti Veron sound boring.
This is the new model, the reason it's slower is because it's the diesel not the Supercharged 3.0T (BTW this guy said 0-60 is 7 but it's actually around 6 secs)
i think only Merc is rival for Audi , BMW
- is 1st about driving Fun , while the others are about Comfort and Style basic
- look nonPremium Brand , TRYiNG to rival Audi and Merc

@TheEryk03 Sure thing mate. BMW 520d vs A6 2.0tdi, 184 bhp (audi 177). BMW 56.5mpg. which is, incidently, better than the Audi ánd Mercs you can get. 0-60, 8.3 seconds. The Audi does it 0.4 seconds slower.
Besides. If you get an Audi with FWD its shit to begin with. FWD sux on big cars, its fine on your medium sized hatchback.
BMW 520d with multi-dimensional suspension with anti-squat and anti-dive setup, and rack and pinion steering makes it a MUCH better car to drive. Believe me.

@mrsammy07 there are 3 versions of the 3.0tdi, the least powerfull has under 200hp i think, so he could be right

They could of dubbed V8 noises in as the A6 accelerated or crashed it into a building, either way this review isn't getting any better... Yaaawwn. On the other hand, the car is literally faultless. Audi
I like Audi, but to be honest, BMW's have always had the upper hand. I like the new A6 design, but the BMW 5 series has a more "professional." When you say Executive car, you think more of what a BMW 5 series looks like, rather than what the A6 looks like.
Look Audi's are fantastic cars, trust me, but BMW's are just superior to them.

Audi ~ Vorsprung durch Technik, The Best. That's why Audi smashes BMW.

@Anoush13 In performance BMW and Mercedes will leave Audi behind but in just about everything else Audi will easily beat it's rivals. Audi is very underestimated. when you get to drive one trust me it will feel like home to you and you won't want to get out of it. That's a feeling that you don't get in the 5 series or the E-class.

Audi is definitely in all built and quality better than BMW, it is great competitor to Mercedes. Audi and Mercedes are pure art of work, technology engineering built and quality is way better and over BMW quantity and which is pure copy cat of Audi and Mercedes.
@TheMegaCONARTIST Did I miss something here? So when Audi becomes a parenting company of Scania and Bentley, it means that they copy their engineering? That's complete bullshit... EVERY SIMILAR LOOKING CAR IN THE WORLD SHARE TECHNIQUE. Dont get me wrong, I like Audi. But dont tell me that they are the mother of all automotive boy. Mercedes is older than Audi and their 4wd system is older as well. BMW was the one introducing motorsport in cars like 3 series etc. Stop praising Audi into heaven.
