I am so glad I found your channel and not just one that give you the answers without an explanation! I’m currently practicing old regents for mine coming up at the end of 8th grade. Your videos help me to learn what I’m doing wrong and need to work on, and teaches me more stuff than I’ve learnt in class (sadly) Glad to say I’m subscribing.

I tend to struggle with any sort of sequence, as there’s a lot of different things to remember, such as a=mx+b or y-y. Rate of change and equations are tricky though, as we don’t really go back to thing we already learned in class, so I do alot on my own.

It’s shown on the Algebra 1 Reference Table. You basically need to know Geometrical and Arithmatic Sequence.
Equations:
- Linear Equations
- Exponential Equations
- QUADRATIC EQUATIONS
- Square Root Equations
- Absolute Value Equations

@@vinteachesmathI am taking Algebra and Biology regents, the most challenging will be sequences and Quadratic Equation.
@@di.boyko2698 For sequences, you basically need to know the Geometric and Arithmetic Sequence.
Quadratics:
There are some topics you MUST now to solve.
- Discriminant (b^2-4ac, used to find roots for quadratic equation.)
- Finding Roots (CTS, Factoring, QF)
- Finding Vertex (x-coordinate formula and plug in equation.)
- Word Problems
Are june and January regents different
They are the same exact format, just different questions. The best way to prepare for the Regents is to go through as many old exams as you can. If you get questions wrong, do your best to understand why you made a mistake, learn the concept/technique, then repeat!
