Geometry Regents June 2024 (Full Exam)

- In this video I go through the entire June 2024 Geometry Regents. I cover many of the topics from high school geometry such as:
similar triangles, parallel lines and transversals, triangle proofs, using trig to find a missing side, using trig to find a missing angle, cross sections, alternate interior angles, transformations in the coordinate plane, inscribed angles, rigid motions.

@@alfaroo90210 No the August one is more about trig and finding the area of circle like arc but study the one from June some questions from that test are going to show up on the August one like 2 are 3 questions

@@chloe5515 they are going to be some like 2 to 3 but the only thing they are going to change are the numbers but sometimes they put the exact question from the last regent but when that happens is only the easy questions u can see it they do it on the geometry from June 2022 they put 2 questions that were the same on the August One
The regents in June were harder than I anticipated. Atleast this video will help me prepare for retaking it in August. Have a good Summer, Mr Vin! See you again next year for Algebra 2!

Wanted to say thank you Mr.Vin for the livestream that you did the day before this geometry regents. That livestream really helped me feel more confident for the test and overall it allowed me to keep more points instead of loosing them on silly mistakes in which allowed me to pass the geo regents. I can't thank you enough and I will continue to watch you for algebra 2 !!. I wish you were my real math teacher you really do an amazing job in explaining and showing multiple ways to solve math questions. Hope you have a great summer, you really deserve it.

The thing I struggle with most are the triangles, they are the only reason I failed by 2 points

The June regents was a really big struggle for me I ended up getting a 63. I was glad I didn’t fail that bad but it still isn’t passing I been watching your videos since last year and your really helping thank you so much!

The August test had a few similar questions to this that I was confident on but it was even more difficult than the June one and I guessed on 5 or more questions, but I did a lot better on the last part of the test.

I got a 57 so i have to retake it this august, However I try retaining the information but I still get bad scores on practices.. Hope this helps. I've tried IXL and Khan academy and now I feel like that's helping a little. Just feel lost in equations and how to set up problems. Any Advice?
Slow down your practice. Try to focus on a few topics at a time, this will increase your chances of being able to apply the concepts across varying examples.

@@vinteachesmath I finished the test and I was pretty certain with most of my answers.. but I don't know if you've seen the test there was a question with the radius of decorations being 2.5 inches and the pounds of modeling clay being 68 pounds? I wasn't sure at all how to answer that.

i think if its 180 then its complementary
If the two angles of a right triangle is provided, the third angle would be 90 degrees, making the sum of the other angles 90 as well

I was studying and getting tutored for this test but I’m still not confident in my ability to pass
I hope the test was okay! I think its great that you spent the time studying and going to tutoring. Its tough when the you don't get the results you want, but learning how to go through the grind will benefit you later.
Vin, im having trouble understanding ur way of teaching because my teachers didn’t even teach me some topics I was supposed to understand like drawing a compass and the regents is less than 2 weeks, I need help, any advice? I don’t wanna fail again
Learn as much as you can from now until the retest. Try to focus less on how much is on the test, focus on what you can accomplish today. The construction is 2 - 4 points at most!
for number 27, is it fine if i say reflection over point (0,0)?
Yeah, you can say reflect over the origin or reflect over the point (0,0).
I only have 9 days left until I retake my geometry regents im so scared idk
You are scared because you care! Test nerves is a very normal thing! Just do your best to practice, and then on test day put your best math down on the paper.
