      I hope the test was okay for you! You taking ownership over learning Algebra says a lot of great things about your character. Let this school year be your breakout year, establish those good habits early on and try to maintain it for the whole school year. You got this!

    I’m gonna be taking the test in 8th grade on June 4th, this has been helpful for study because my teacher gave us old practice regents, question 30 was the most helpful for me, hopefully I pass the test this year so I wouldn’t have to retake it on my sophomore year

    why do you multiply by negative 2 on question 37

    • @vinteachesmath
      @vinteachesmath  Год назад

      I think its easier for students to add the equations in a system together, subtracting equations can be a tricky when there are negatives involved. I multiplied by negative 2 so that the variable d would eliminate by adding the equations together (2d + (-2d) cancels out).

    hi I have a question, for question 35 why when we were dividing out by 3 for our fractions why did you put x-2 wouldn't it be the fraction that's left and the -2 from -6/3 so why put x-2 and not just 2?

    • @vinteachesmath
      @vinteachesmath  Год назад +1

      When you divide both sides by 3, one way of doing it is to divide each individual term on all sides by 3. On the right side, there was a
      -2x - 6, so on the right side we get -2/3 x - 6/3 which simplifies to -2/3 x - 2.

      @@vinteachesmath Question 35, 30, and 34. But I ended up getting full credit on all of them. Question 35, I slipped up the graphing and I made a really big mess but I got the same answer as yours but it was very messy. Question 34, it wasn't that hard but I had anxiety over that question on the 2nd and 1st part over the signs (I said 6≤x≤12 and 9≤x≤12) and Question 30 I was scared over Relation 1 because I didn't learn how does functions work on a graph in my Algebra 1 Class and so I guessed the answer and I got full credit, Wow! And I was most scared of the writing portions cuz my portions was extremely lengthy.
