- In this video I go through the Algebra 1 Regents - January 2023, questions 1 - 24. I cover all the questions in under 34 minutes, showing how to go through the questions as efficiently as possible.
The topics I cover in this video include:
solving linear equations, solving quadratic equations, systems of equations, average rate of change, distributive property, simplifying algebraic expressions, functions, linear inequality word problems, multiplying binomials, graphs of polynomial functions, transformations of functions, recursive sequences, box and whisker plots.
Write any topics you want me to cover in the COMMENT section below. Thanks for watching!

Yess part 2 is what I was really worried about but I passed with a 77
Great job! Part 2 is my next video!
Thank You so much, I was doing this regents for homework and I was really struggling with question 24 this helped me out a lot :)
I am glad I could help! Those word problems can be tricky to unravel. There is a quote from Abraham Lincoln, "Give me 6 hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first 4 sharpening the axe." This is one of those questions where you really have to sharpen the axe, really think about what each number means in the context of the whole question.
I hope your Regents prep is going well!
Thank You :)
I have an exam this week, I wrote the mock exam at 73% and I'm very upset, but with your video I'm starting to understand more, thanks so much!!😭
i have it on thursday 😭😭 im so nervous
73% is not bad! Remember, math is more of a marathon than a sprint. Learn what you can from now until the test, that is the best you can do. If you practice math consistently, you will gradually get better!
I am live streaming the day before the Regents! Consider stopping by!
@@kym2930 same! good luck!😭
@@vinteachesmath thanks , I will work hard!
Tomorrow I got regents wish me luck 🙏
I hope it went well!
I remember these days of regents wasn’t too bad good thing these vids are out
I retook the Algebra 1 regents and got a 92 on it! I was waiting for you to post this video so I can see what I got wrong. As of now, for the multiple choice, I only got question 6 wrong as I mistook the maximum for quartile 3. Can't wait for the written response video!
Congratulations on breaking 90! Those definition questions are hit or miss! Q3 is one of those things you just have to know cold.
Part 2 is my next video.
I hope I can get a 90 on my Algebra 1 regents I’m taking it in June and ima so nervous
@@Erica3dits You got this!
The main things that I've learned outside of school was
- piecewise functions and graphing it
- correlation
- linear regression
- Completing the square
- quadratic formula
- exponential growth/decay
And I'm pretty sure that atleast one or a few questions will be about those topics. Good luck!
of course, you got a 92 I have to take the cps algebra exit exam in less than 2 weeks and I desperately need to pass it . any tips.

- review notes you've taken in Algebra class!
- Practice with multiple Algebra regents exam
* Any questions you got wrong on the mock regents, try to understand what you got wrong and keep that in mind for the actual exam
* Any topics that show up on the mock regents that you don't know of, search that topic up on youtube and learn about it! It's great to do outside research when not taught in class!
- Don't be afraid to ask your teacher questions when confused!
- If your school offers, go to aftershool for regents practice
- If you're retaking the regents, refresh your memory on the topics you learned
***Make flashcards! Because you can retake regents as many times as you want, so it's best if you make flashcards to look back to if you happen to decide to retake the regents!
Enjoy studying!
got regents in january! ill keep u updated
I hope your practice is going well! I am planning to do a livestream the night before the regents.
Either way, good luck! 🤞
I am so scar because of regents but i think these video will help me out .thanks a lot.
It is normal to be afraid of this test. Remember, the best you can do is study in advance, show up and put your best math down on the paper. No matter how it goes, a test like this is a learning experience!
@@vinteachesmath it does but the thing is that i am new in the school/country that is why i a scare . that i will gonna fail this test .
@@vinteachesmath
i have one question who much question do i need to get correct in order to pass the regents .
I have the regents today, this really helped. Tyyyy
Same I start at 12 pm
Glad it helped!
i tried doing the question in 6:18 and i cant find numeric solver
does this help with the regents coming up to?
For question 14, could you solve the question without a calculator? Using a calculator for this problem is confusing.
Yo you’re lk my savior
I am happy to help! Stay strong with your practice, you are almost there!
Passed my living environment in 8th grade with an 87, I ended up not taking the algebra one so I gotta take it this year lol (9th)
That is an impressive score for a 9th grader, even more impressive for an 8th grader! I hope your Algebra 1 Regents goes well! What score are you aiming for?
@@vinteachesmath At least a 75 since I did pretty well on my science one, of course I'd love a 85+ but math isn't really the best subject for me haha
Thank you though, you're very kind
is this also the june regents are they the same questions
Same topics and concepts but all the questions will be different. The best way to prepare is by doing old Regents exams, even though the questions are different they will be very similar in structure!
This year seems east I hope it’s easy next week
It might seem easy because you mastered many/all of the topics! I hope you do well on the Algebra 1 Regents!
Do they provide a calculator for regents algebra 1 ???
yes most likely if u dont have one they will. But makesure to bring ur own.
I would ask a math teacher or assistant principal at your school to be safe! Sometimes they run out of good calculators, and you wind up with the oldest calculator in the school!
@@vinteachesmath Thanks
I'm having the exam tmr I am so nervous
Being nervous is normal, convert it to energy and work as hard as you can for those 3 hours! I am going to live stream very shortly! You are welcomed to join!
On the 4 question how did you got a 4 on the parentheses? Wouldn’t it be -4?
What?
Ahhh I see. He got a 4 because -2 squared is just -2 times -2, which gives positive 4 (since a negative times a negative is a positive).
Have link is good, but need answer link please

if i fail im blaming u
just kidding! i will pass
😂😆
is this actually thi years regents
Yes! This was the most recent regents.
I have it today help 😭
Hope it went well!
@@vinteachesmath it did i thing i got like a 83
@@vinteachesmath it was easy then i thought
The numeric solver is deleted off mine
Which calculator do you have?
@@vinteachesmath Ti 84 plus
Is this exam the same one we are going to take this week?
