    I'm confused about #26 at 3:49 - can't sqrt(positive number) be a positive or negative number? When I read sqrt(4), I think "what number squared equals for", and the answer is 2 or -2... In which case -1 would be a valid answer. What am I missing?

    • @vinteachesmath
      @vinteachesmath  5 месяцев назад +2

      We only involve + or - when we take the sq root of x^2.
      The square root of 4 is = 2. The positive value, in this case 2, is called the principal root.

    for the first question if i say “the office can survey every 5th student that enters the office.” would that be alright?

    • @vinteachesmath
      @vinteachesmath  11 месяцев назад +1

      That would likely get credit, but I would choose a more public spot like the entrance to the campus.

    for #27 could i say “as p(t) increases over time, the population increases” or would it be wrong ?

    • @vinteachesmath
      @vinteachesmath  11 месяцев назад +1

      They aren't super strict with exact phrasing/grammar. As long as you mention the population increasing, which you did, you should be fine. The reason behind why the population increased is most important.
