They always came back no matter what and I feel like that they where ethier immortal or could resurrect themselves. All three still terrifies me today even after 40 years of their releases.

“Duel” is another good one. It’s about an 18 wheeler chasing Dennis Weaver all over the place trying to kill him. You never really know if the truck is possessed or if it has someone in the cab because you never see the driver

This clip cuts off just before the scene where he puts his helmet on. He does while riding with no hands. In fact clip 9 starts off with him doing just that.

I wanted all my friends to watch this movie and so I took all of them to watch it at my home town Pune (Maharashtra state, India) city’s best theatre at that time ‘Rahul theatre’. We all were occupying a complete row of seats in the balcony. I remember they all were stunned after watching it. ‘Rahul theatre’ at that time was the only one who had a 70mm screen with stereophonic sound system and was opened for screening movies in the year 1972 and the 1st movie which was screened was ‘Winning’ featuring ‘Paul Newman’ in the lead role and was about car racing. I had watched many many ‘Hollywood’ movies screened there and I still cherish those old times. Thank you 🙏
I've always loved this gem. Lately there's been a Dodge Challenger speeding around in my neighborhood and its engine roar reminded me of this movie, I think it's a *Hellcat* too 😆

Everything about the car is as sinister as can be. The truck horn, how it slows down and accelerates unnaturally fast, its ability to move without making a noise (as seen here when it kept backing up without hearing the engine, as if it was pulled by cables) and the weird design. It's as if the Devil hastily grabbed mundane things, distorted them and added his personal touch to terrorise the town. He never cared about picking up the right type of horn, just the one who could inflict the most panic. Same could be said about the paint, matte black, or the extremely loud engine (cause a real Lincoln Mk III engine wouldn't send people into a panic, it isn't that loud: this engine looks like it was pulled from a NASCAR)
Always good to turn the volume a little when the car blasts it's horn real loud!!!! First time I saw that scene---it startled me when the car got real loud and I turned down my volume!
Somehow, the making of this movie attracted enough talented people, who were dedicated to the production, that the finished product is not just entertaining but enjoyable. Despite its premise, the plot actually unfolds somewhat logically and there's a good balance of humor, action and terror.
They left out the fun part where we see him enter the garage. Fiddle with a few tools, and leave, then come back only to find the car now in his garage when it wasn't there in the previous shot. While the garage is still locked from the outside.
